He has a point....Idk why people act like they are blind to this....of course America wants a white star, they'll even accept a foreign fighter as the face of the sport as long as the next star isn't black fighter

Black fighters have had the harder cards dealt and its just been a 40-50 years since the Mob, and the powers stopped blackballing the best black fighters out of title shots and forcing them to fight the best for low cash over and over

Look at the 90's....Roy Jones was the superior fighter, ODLH got more hype and paid more

Pernell Whitaker was the best of his era.....JCC chavez was paid more and more beloved

The double standards.....People wanted Floyd to fight Canelo and GGG but when it comes to Pacquaio he gets a pass even though he was supposed to be the fighter of the decade and Floyd was scared of him

They want Ward to fight at 175 which I think he will be successful, he is in his third weight class, turned pro at 160, cleaned out 168 and now will be at 175 but there is no outcry for the so called monster GGG to move up and the powers that be are just fine with him staying at 160 and chasing former welterweights and guys from 154

If people see this, they are ignorant and blind

The move to 175 was inevitable for Ward, but why can't we first see Ward vs GGG AND then Ward vs Kovalev if Ward beats GGG? GGG fans KNOW that if Ward moved up to 175 he won't come back down to 168 and this makes their fighter safe, that's why they're pushing for Ward to move up. And even though Ward had planned to move up, he was still willing to go through making 168 to face GGG, nobody told GGG to face Ward at 175.
It was answered many times. Just like Ward wants to fight GGG FIRST and then move up, GGG wants to fight Canelo/Cotto FIRST. If it is not possible - at least unify all 4 belts. GGG has unfinished business at 160. ONLY AFTER THAT he would move to 168. Nobody wants to go back and forth in weight. This is true for Ward and for GGG.

And I'm pretty sure the ones who ask that question know the answer already. It's just they don't like this answer. They want this cozy money-making company of Cotto-Canelo-Mayweather to be left alone...

But that is besides the point.

We talking BOXING here. True fans have an appreciation for whatever style a fighter uses to be successful in their fights. That's what makes boxing what it is.

"Styles make fights". Does that saying just become irrelevant when it comes to pushing guys these people behind the scenes want?

I can not believe that people (not you because I understand what you're saying) can make excuses for not wanting to see the best go up against each other. What the hell is this?

I have no problem with that. At all.

Doesnt really make sense to say they are forcing Ward to move up..then ask for GGG to move up..just saying

                It does.

Why doesn't Ward stay at 168, fight a bunch of dudes he can wash and then just wait for a smaller guy (GGG) to fight him?

That is exactly what GGG and his team are doing and it is OK. If Ward was doing the same thing....... well we know what would happen.

What if Canelo-Cotto don't want to fight him?! something they clearly stated?! What is the point of waiting at 160 lbs and fighting no hopers and selling 90k PPVs while winning vacated titles? The winner of Canelo Cotto won't fight GGG under any circumstances at least next year, they will relinquish the belt and come back down to 154, and this is something GGG and his team knew all along, these fights won't happen anytime soon.

Didn't read or even open the article but I agree with Floyd- America is always trying to get behind some great "white hype" and push the public behind him.

The only thing is its only always American white hype job. so if this article is about GGG i disagree, but I still agree with Floyd

Canelo-Cotto won'T fight GGG anytime soon, that's the problem, they will relinquish the belt and go back down to 154 or 155, fight won't happen, they will wait till 2017 till GGG slows down then demand a catchweight.

Both clearly showed NO interest in this fight!
