There is racism right here within the fanbases, Mexican, Black, Puerto Rican, Cubans..doesn't matter but this bullshhh coming out of Floyd's mouth is hilarious. Someone is forcing Ward to fight at LHW or is it age or his want of money? GTFOH...the situation with Ward and Golovkin are worlds apart when there was a negotiating table one said no. I would love for Floyd to to take Imam when he's one step away from a lineal shot and say "well imam let's move up a division or two and fight this guy we offered a fight to two years ago because he is up for it now"...its not happening.

Who said Ward doesn't have to move up? Boxing fans wanted to see him vs Golovkin at 168lbs before that happened though.

I mean would HBO ever ask Golovkin to sign a contract where he has to fight Ward at the end of it? No but they made Ward sign one like that for Kovalev.

As I said, 160 is where the money is for GGG with Canelo or Cotto or both. Both of those fights are infinitely bigger than a Ward fight.

Yeah, maybe because Ward has no possible other contenders than GGG at 168 or below that HBO would be interested in. For obvious reasons, HBO are more interested in GGG facing the Cotto/Canelo winner.

But you keep ignoring that Ward-GGG was proposed for late 2016. So Golovkin could have fought Cotto or Canelo first anyway.

That's if they fight him. Which they probably won't. They'll likely vacate the title and Golovkin will fight another stumblebum whilst his greatest challenge will have moved up to 175.

Far-fetched. If GGG gets Cotto/Canelo and cleans out 160 by late '16. Maybe he'll throw Ward a bone.

I've noticed that a lot of black fighters and boxing fans are starting to get upset about the modern success of ex eastern block fighters. It started with the Klitschkos. This starts with Floyd who is the spokesman. I'm all in with being proud of who you are but this is taking it too far. Floyd would have never been the biggest earner in the history of all sports if there was some kind of white favortism. Whites own and run both HBO and SHO. So what if they want to air exciting fighters. They wanted to air Pacman way before he was ever even considered a matchup for Floyd.

Ward vs. GGG is a good matchup. But there's a problem with it. GGG still has to be the man at 160. You don't go to 168 and fight the kingpin when you're not even the established man in your division. Not only that but Ward could not even make 168 for all we know. He hasn't fought there in several years now.

It's always gotta be a race thing with guys like Floyd and Hopkins even though boxing and it's people have given them extremely lavish lives out of this world when guys like GGG and Kovalev are earning peanuts in comparison right now while providing way more **** for the buck.

I call it sour g****s based on caucasians now being successful against black fighters who's abilities USED to be superior.

Now people are realizing that it's more of a numbers game when it comes down to it. The gold miner who digs more gets more gold nuggets. Simple as that.

No one has any ill will toward the success of eastern bloc fighters; most of them need black trainers to show them how to fight.

And Floyd had to play into the favoritism in order to be seen and create a model to make him successful. If Floyd, with his talent and background, was anything but black he would not have had to make himself hated in order to be successful. Like the adage goes: America loves a winner, unless he's black.

As far as the second bold comment; Kov and ggg never fought a top tier black fighter. Kov beat a 50yr old man and ggg's best was Willie monroe who didn't have time to develop. This shows the accolades you will give a white fighter for beating somewhat decent black guy vs a black guy beating everybody.

Am I? I thought I was giving you a perfectly reasonable reason for GGG wanting Froch.

You can take it whichever way you want to take it, but of course GGG wanted Froch at 168. He was the cashcow.

He can still come back today and sell out an arena and make Ward's entire career in one night. Why wouldn't GGG want a slice of that pie?

Canelo-Cotto won'T fight GGG anytime soon, that's the problem, they will relinquish the belt and go back down to 154 or 155, fight won't happen, they will wait till 2017 till GGG slows down then demand a catchweight.

Both clearly showed NO interest in this fight!

If that remains the case, I perfectly understand if GGG wants to clean up 160 before deciding anything.
