you think cotto dropping his belt not to fight ggg looks good? that would look terrible and elevate ggg even more while making cotto look like a coward.

He wont drop the belt.

He will be stripped because Golovkin will refuse to give him a catchweight despite the fact that.....

1) That would be a HUGE payday for Golovkin
2) Cotto would be Golovkins first elite scalp
3) Cotto only weighs 153
4) Golovkin stated that he can make 154
5) Golovkin demanded a catchweight from Ward, and then justified that demand by stating that he is the A-side

Demanding a catchweight from Ward, and then refusing one for Cotto.....
kinda looks like Golovkin is avoiding both.

That way Golovkin would not look like a duck for avoiding Ward with that catchweight demand..... and that way Cotto/Canelo would have to fight Golovkin and nobody would be discussing the weight.

Catchweights really are awful, especially considering the fact that they are completely unnecessary.

The fact that Golovkin demanded a catchweight for Ward and yet refused one for 153lb Cotto kinda looks like he is avoiding both.

Lets say Cotto beats Canelo..... IF this article is correct..... then Golovkin walked away from a HUGE payday and a great opportunity to build on his PPV aspirations because he knew that his refusal to take a massive cheque from Cotto would result in Cotto being stripped and him being elevated.

Your right catch weights has to stop and the only way to do that is for triple GGG to stand his ground and say it's a 160 limit and that's what weight divisions are for....the WBC has already said they have to fight golovkn next or get stripped....it would be a court matter if either canelo or cotto avoided the fight and a court ruling would say it's a middleweight fight and it's contested between 154-160....if it was me I would say ok ur get a catchweight at 157 and then I would smash them both back down to the light middles where they belong

TEAM GGG, no catch weight for Cotto /Canelo winner, they have 15 days to accept fight, gave Lemieux a boxing lesson he's not in GGG's class. Apparently sold out MSG (a friend of mind got free tickets). Ward is no longer relevant.
It might just be my imagination but this all sounds like a Diva in the making.

When announcing his comeback, Ward stated that the Smith fight will be at 172 because he will work his way back down to SMW.

Thats fight had nothing to do with LHW..... Ward was coming DOWN following inactivity, and Smith is a SMW.

172 is lightheavy weight are you ******ed.....what weight does 172 fall into. Is it 168 to 175 which is the light heavy division or is it 160-168 which is supermiddle weight division...if ward weighed 172 and the light heavyweight division starts at 168 then he boxed at light heavy weight against smith...are you that ******ed or maybe your no good at maths...as for box recs. .i don't need box recs unlike you
