Sanders was 37, way past his prime, and had seen less than 7 minutes of action over 2 years. Spin it however you like, but Duhaupas was leagues better than Sanders at the time of him fighting Klitschko.

Manny Pacquiao was wild and easy to hit (still is pretty hittable, and very open to right hands), and now he's one of the greatest fighters to ever lace up a pair of gloves. A guy like you would have wrote him off after he lost to Morales, or maybe even before that.

I've clearly said that Wilder is a work in progress, and the point of my posts is to note that instead of continuously pointing out his flaws without allowing him time to develop. I'm sorry your vagina got hurt because I possess simple logic and reasoning skills, and refuse to label a promising young fighter a lost cause. Stop acting like a ******ed casual fan.

Lastly, I have about 10 quadrillion points, and you don't have 10k. I don't want or need that little ass money you have.

Why did he unload his kitchen, did he lose his tin opener for this tomato can?

Fight someone in the Top 10.

I like Wilder since he if from my home state but if he had fought a top 10 fighter last night Povetikin i believe he would have lost. Not a good performance against the french punching bag.

No Duhaupas is an ESPN level fighter. He can't punch and has ordinary athleticism. Picture Tony Grano or somebody of that caliber. Both Peter and Sanders were at least one level better than him.

If he he was so terrible why did he nearly knock Vitali's head off? He is the only man to legitimately stun him in the pros as far as I know. Sanders was old an inactive but talented too.

I've followed Wilder since he went pro and I've been very critical of him; I also recognize and give him credit when credit's due. Last night Wilder gave impressive performance, probably his best.

Wilder's offense is much more versatile and varied. He threw the jab very well, all his punches were cracking, he's throwing (and landing) uppercuts and body shots that he didn't throw before and he showed that he can fight on the inside. Also, Wilder's physicality was on display last night; he leaned on Duhaupas, pushed 'em and man handled him at times - there was a stanza where Wilder was leaning on Johan, on the ropes, and then he busted out with a barrage of uppercuts.

If I'm in Team Wilder, the fight's outcome was the best case scenario that could happen. You had a tough gritty determined and experienced opponent take Wilder into the later rounds, landing some decent shots, damaging his eye and making him have to work for the KO. Perfect fight for Wilder to practice and showcase some stuff he's been working on in the gym and giving fans an exciting fight.

              Now let's bring on Povetkin....

I am not a Sasha fan but the man has fought seven Ring top ten fighters in his career and he has lost to one of them. He also fought a Ring top ten fighter in I believe his 14h fight. Povetkin could have also been fighting Wilder next but what happened there?

As far as Sanders is concerned I would like to know what source you have that had him ranked at 334 when they fought in 2003? But that really doesn't matter. Because Wlad could have lost five times by then and Wilder still would not have the skills that Wlad had then or now. Simply put Wilder is a immensely flawed fighter and the fact that you are in denial about it doesn't change that.

Wow! What I saw last night was two plodding hw that doesn't know how to throw a punch or a jab. Horrible footwork and balance. If ur a fan of boxing at all, u should feel sick that ur hw champ is wilder n he's fighting unranked fighters n going life n death against them.

But to cap it off the night I youtube Lewis vs Rahman 2 to show my dad n I the sweet science display by the last great hw! We agreed wilder wouldn't make it as a contender in the 90s.
