It was a dominating performance where Wilder showed things we've never seen out of him and beat the fight out of a tough, determined opponent. Wilder is still improving, and this was a good sign for that improvement.

We'll see Povetkin vs Wach next month, a much better fighter than Duhaupas power wise but similar in size and durability. If he stops Wach he definitely stops Wilder in my view. I give Wilder a 20% chance vs Povetkin, being kind here.

Bring on Povetkin. I think he is being overrated. I don't think he will take as much punishment as Duhaupas. I don't see Povetkin as this master craftsman that he is being made out to be. I think he may hit a little harder but his workrate is not that great and he is shorter and has a shorter reach.
Wilder came to fight in what was a highly entertaining bout. I think he is definitely ready for the next level.

Wilder gets stopped as soon as he fights somebody with a pulse...Anthony Joshua would dominate him and be far more one sided than wilder was with this bum last night...heck shannon briggs might even beat him

The only real difference is that the game underdog that challenged Wilder didn't turn Wilder's lights out. Based on untruths my ass. Klitschko picked out a no hoper and got caught. Stop with the BS.
You'd be better off just admitting that a motivated heavyweight fighter can be a dangerous opponent for anyone. Rahman wasn't supposed to beat Lewis. Douglas wasn't supposed to beat Tyson. Sanders definitely wasn't supposed to beat Klitschko. It's a part of the fight game. If the only boxing fans were guys like you, Tito would have been written off for losing to a 36 year old BHop :/

This is a paper belt and there are so many heavyweights that deserve that paper more than Wilder... he's a joke..Fury would smash him and I don't think much of him either,a true champion would have fought that bum last night without so much as a blemish on his face.. Wilder looked like he just did 12 rounds of running face first into a wall
is wilder a bum in my opinion ?...No but he's the calibre of fighter I'd expect Wlad to fight as a volunteered defence in between mandatorysLast edited by Stuntman Mike; 09-27-2015, 07:02 AM.

Good entertaining fight but before the fight I talked to my friend who is a boxing fan and lives in France and he didn't know who Duhaupas was so I was actually expecting an easier fight from Wilder.
You can't deny Wilder's talent and athleticism but he needs some improvements before he is ready for the elites.
