Same thing for Floyd he will/would fight Cotto at a CW for the strap at 160 but won't do it to fight the bigger treat GGG
Can't have it both ways hanz
Mayweather fought Hoya at 154 but not Canelo

If GGG wants Ward move up to 168, but if Ward is the one the wants the fight and is chasing it i would not care if GGG team said to come down to 160, same thing Ward did to Dawson, and the same bit*h move Virgil keeps saying the he thinks Ward should stay at 168 forever.

Because that's the only real objective metric to measure things by at this point (Ward took home a far larger check for his fight, both TV deals were from opposite spectra, etc).

If Golovkin did $1m at the Forum (haven't been able to find the gate information for Ward's last fight, but the announced attendance was over 9,100 people and, comparing to the last fight at Oracle, he likely ended up selling 8,000 tickets), he's got something to stand on; Ward's last gate in Oakland was just over $700k, I couldn't find how those tickets were priced (likely at/lower than what the Ward-Smith tickets were priced).

Till then, such talk is just bluster.
Where did you get a million from for the Monfoe fight?

Ggg and his team scared. Bette beleive they would have broke they necks to make 168 if ward looked like **** coming off the layoff. This is a easy W for ward IMO

Funny how you butt hurt poster try to gang up on a man based on what his manager says, but say nothing when the actual fighter says things.
Dawson came out of pocket and had to pay the cost for that; if Dawson had never said he was willing to come down to 168, the catchweight would've been negotiated (Dawson walking into the ring damn near 190 probably meant that the catchweight wouldn't have helped all that much anyway).

Floyd fought oscar at 154 because he had to. He wanted it at 147. And who said floyd would fight cotto at a catchweight above 154? Thats a message board theory.

What's all this, "GGG's the A-side" bull****? There is no A-side at the level Ward and GGG currently find themselves. A 350K PPV buyrate between these guys would be considered a success. Floyd's numbers have screwed people's minds up. Before Floyd and Manny crossed over, you had excellent PPV match-ups of the Ward-GGG caliber all 4-5x a year. These guys are clowns

Golovkin said he'd fight anyone from 154-168. It doesn't seem that way anymore now does it. It's sad how many "fight fans” would want to see a cheapened fight. GGG should just stay at 160 and keep away from the big boys. He'll fight anyone from 154-160 + Chavez and Froch.

50-50? Is he ******ed? It should be 80-20 in favor of GGG. He should look for a new promoter if he talks that way

Abel and ggg have both gone on record saying that they don't want catchweights, and until either of them comes out and asks ward for 164,this is just Tom running his mouth like an idiot. And yes Tom=/=ggg. It's like elerbe saying something, and people taking it as Floyd's direct words.
Only issue with that is that Golovkin actually does work for the promotional company that Loeffler is leading; the Ellerbee comparison would be more apt if Loeffler was speaking about whether Wladimir Klitschko was ever going to fight Deontay Wilder, as K2 is Klitschko's company and hopefully calls his own shot.

Golovkin writing off what Loeffler is saying would be akin to J'Leon Love/Mickey Bey writing off what Ellerbee was saying.
