I'll answer that for you, there is none. You only justify a fighter coming down in weight when it benefits your favorite fighter.

Ward said he's willing to come down to 160 for Floyd and I bet if Chavez Jr. would have offered the fight at 164 he would have taking it.

That'd be fine .... if Golovkin's camp hadn't spent the last 2-3 years talking the way they've been talking. If Team Golovkin had simply stuck with him being "the best middleweight to ever put on a pair of gloves", they'd have something to stand on with this proposal
