Let's see if the successful black man can win a ridiculous case like that against a white ***, I doubt it seriously.

Same things they're accusing him of doing Arum did and then some.

Why are you so sure what Al is doing is illegal? Just because Bob sued him? Because he got sued in the music business?

Haymon is not only violating the Ali act, but also the sherman trade law and some other law having to do with business practices. Hes breaking the law, they just have to prove it in court.

I don't get how the Ali act works here? I thought that was a fighters protection against a promoter. The fighters aren't really even signed to a contract binding them to Haymon, they can leave when they want like Andre Dirrell did some time back. Can't wait to see how this plays out. Hopefully Haymon keeps the court process going on and on, while TR/GB makes limited profit until they eventually have to give up.

Top Rank will not be successful.

He will have to prove damages and he will have to prove that Al Haymon was the unlawful cause of those damages.

He's made the claim on the practise of securing dates to block out other company's, which hinges on the fact that Al cancelled those dates. In and of itself, it will be difficult to prove Haymon booked those dates with the intention of sabotaging his competition. He could simply argue that due to certain fighters losing throughout the years, and certain injuries to fighters, he was unable to commit to those dates.

Issue with the Ali act is also not straightforward. He's trying to argue that Gary Shaw is merely a shell which points towards them knowing that on the surface Al Haymon an co. are behaving within the confines of the Ali Act. The issue is that I don't believe he can prove Gary Shaw is not acting as promoter.

All Al Haymon needs to show is that each party associated with his fighters has their own role to play and that they exist as separate en******.

I think Bob Arum knows this and is simply looking to stall Al Haymon. I expect that Al Haymon will counter with a defamation lawsuit.

Haymon is trying to do things promoters do, choosing events, paying fighters, etc. Managers cannot do these things. The Ali act was made specifically to distinguish promoters from managers.

Before anyone jumps on me for trying to say I got my lawyer degree, I just been reading the document/plaintiff for the last hour so fck off lol

Haymon isn't a promoter... he's a manager. That check above came from Haymon Sports LLC

Just because Bob and his lawyers put it in a lawsuit doesn't mean he is guilty.

they are signed to Haymon. Remember when I think it was big dan had a copy of a contract. It said their is no minimum fights per year or purses and they can't sign with a promoter without Al's consent.
