EVERY fighter has holes in their resumes.

    You can't fight everyone.

Also, it's unfair to automatically assume that if a champ doesn't fight someone, it's because he ducked them. That's often not the case, as most people forget that this wonderful sport is also a ruthless business.
Thanks man, some people will be illogical just to hate on a fighter they don't like.....You can trash any fighters resume

He beat Toney, who knocked out Nunn and made it look easy

Julio Cesar Gonzalez who beat DM and took his undefeated record....Roy toyed with him

Liles was good but look at who he fought and beat, he was no p4p type guy

Some fights just don't get made but he also beat Jorge Castro who knocked out John David Jackson in a fight of the year and Jones made it look easy

Was the first to knockout Virgil Hill, I think the only person to drop iron chinned mike McCallum, first to drop Toney

Beat former WBC 168 champion Eric Lucas and stopped him the same day he played a semi-pro basketball game

First to stop iron chinned Merqui Sosa who gave everyone hell

Clinton Woods, Tarver and Clinton Woods went on to win titles after he beat them

Hopkins was 28 years old, at his physical peak maybe not his absolute best and the bets he could muster was 3-4 rounds

Reggie Johnson held titles at 160 and 175 Jones dropped him twice and cake walked him

Thulani SugarBoy Malinga beat Eubank, Jones sparked him out

He really made good fighters look like nobody, he was that good until he was 35

          Is this a real question?

            Malinga
            Tate
            Toney
            Lucas
            Griffin
            Hill
            Johnson
            Hall
            Gonzalez
            Woods
            Ruiz

All those guys were better than Paz, and Roy beat them with absolute ease.

Again, he never had the opportunity to look great against Liles and Michalczewski, because they wouldn't fight him.

I can show you links that will show Roy in a very different light.

Excellent. Ali lost to Holmes who lost to Holyfield who lost to Ruiz who lost to Jones who lost to Johnson who lost to Ottke.

Ottke toyed with Johnson. He is therefore better than Ali. Circular logic. You just cant beat it.

And yet he KO'ed Jones with pillow gloves didn't he? Or maybe I am mistaken him with someone else?

sure you don't like him but the dude went 48-1 from 154-heavyweight with being dropped just once until he was 35....proof is in the pudding and he took good hard shots versus Tarver in fight one and didn't even wobble....the older you get the worse your punch reisitance is, plus the wear and tear of sparring training and fighting.....you don't sound like you really know too much about the sport or history at all....if you don't like Roy, that's fine but he will be remembered as the best of his time for a good reason....he was that good until he was 35+

Who said I didn't like Roy Jones? Because I'm not kissing his ass in a Fantasy fight? I don't think he beats SK, PERIOD. I think he gets KO'ed. He couldn't take a punch, man. You never saw him have to in his prime either. And it wasn't because he was so "untouchable". Anybody can look like a boxing god against Cab drivers, Policemen, Security guards, and Firemen. etc. In order to beat a fighter like SK, you have to take punishment. This includes my boy Ward if they ever fight. He is a very smart fighter with KILLER INSTINCT. He is nothing to play with and a bad match up for Roy's overrated ass. Roy is the fastest fighter I ever seen in a boxing ring. SO WHAT!!!!!!! He is definitely not the greatest fighter. He is the Lebron James of boxing. Pure athleticism. He never learned fundamentals. What don't you understand about this? As soon as he got older, he was exposed for what he was. A physical freak. That's why he was always getting KO'ed. So, what great skills does he bring to the table, against someone who is fundamentally sound? Like Sk? You guys need to face reality and stop kissing these fighters ass so much. Tell the F'N truth every once in a while.

                    Ha! Don't insult our intelligence.

Since when were Castro, Tate, Hopkins, Toney, Lucas, Griffin, Hill, Johnson, Hall, Gonzalez, Woods and Ruiz etc, cab drivers?

You're a hater pure and simple.

What great skills would he have brought to the table?

                    Are you for real?

Yes, Kovalev is fundamentally sound. So were many of the guys who Roy faced.

Roy wasn't fundamentally sound. It didn't matter though did it?
