So I think historically hatton will be rated fairly after his career ended which is the only time you can make a full assessment of someone.
Wilder, is what he is but realistically there are only a handful of guys he didnt fight that he could of so that isnt a padded record at all. Compare him to the 1950s era he was still fighting ranked guys and still fighting guys who box full time. If you look at marciano's record, go look at his first 40 fights and compare him to wilder, marciano was fighting journey men, farmers, factory workers, welders ect. Its not even on the same planet. And wilder will get his due for the all time heavy rankings... Nobody is rating him top 20 or anything. THey will rate him when it comes to power and he proved that but I think he gets ranked fairly historically but the old era they hype those guys to the moon for their careers.
