In my basketball analogy, it's like asking Lebron in 2008, as great as he was to become a post player in one month. It ain't gonna happen.Last edited by KoolAidMan; 05-05-2015, 06:47 PM.

Floyd completely nullified Manny's angles and made him fought at his pace. Pacquiao, his camp, and some of his fans should accept reality and the reality is, Mayweather is a better boxer than, Pacquiao. Floyd is in a class of his own. He knows how to systematically take away your best physical attributes inside the ring and break you down both mentally and physically. Five years ago, Manny was more reckless and Floyd actually sat down on his punches.
The fight could've lived up to its hype, but at 33 years old, Floyd was still a master of controlling distance and cutting off angles, had greater reflexes and lesser wear and tear on his hands and he would've beaten, Pacquiao back then and possibly via stoppage. Ironically, Bayless ended up being a more beneficial ref for Manny because he'd constantly and quickly broke them up and Floyd couldn't do his usual vet tactics when they were close to each other.
Floyd will never go down as the most must-watch ATG who always creates great action fights like the likes of, Roy Jones, Leonard, Chavez Sr, Duran, etc, but he'll probably go down as the guy who was the most effective at winning and in doing so at his own comfort zone. Floyd only uses what works for him. He basically schooled Manny without breaking a sweat and probably did so in first gear.Last edited by Carpe Diem; 05-05-2015, 07:27 PM.

At the very least, he wouldn't have the memory of a collosal counter punch knockout lingering around. It's only conjecture of course, but I think that fight might have been the reason he has become a more hesitant fighter. The worst part of this fight was how in rds 11/12 we didn't see Pac putting caution aside. He may not have thought he needed a KO per se, but there is no way he thought he was cleanly ahead.Last edited by BrometheusBob.; 05-05-2015, 07:31 PM.

roach had pac box jmm too.
this camp i heard a lot of talk of not falling for floyds traps, taking away floyds right hand, not being open for floyds counters, blah blah....
stuff that is impossible to do.
floyd will never not land on pac.
gameplan should have been on how to get to mayweather even when he was landing and to force a rough, high pace fight.
you do not test floyds boxing ability. that's undeniable.
you try to test his stamina, toughness, heart and hope pac can.
