With the way people tune in specifically to watch the commercials, forget the halftime show. The NFL doesnt sell the halftime show anymore (after janets boob) they retain artistic control of it now. I doubt the NFL would want to sell/share that time to another sport. They just need one commercial slot during it. Something like this:

It had nothing to do with names or money because you can't any bigger than Manny and Floyd also fought Guerrero, Ortiz and others who were not a notable name at WW. So that is just an excuse.
