The only people saying Vargas is the plan b is you duckweather fans who actually hope mayweather ducks pacquiao, and Vargas himself. Arum mentioned one time he would be on the plan b list, but he more recently said Manny isn't moving down to 140. The only thing that could mean is they are planning a fight with kell brook. Either way no way in hell is pacquiao fighting Jesse Vargas. That is what you guys desperately hope for but he is more likely to fight kell brook, Terance Crawford, Mikey Garcia, and these following names are less likely but still better than Vargas and available... Provodnikov and mike Alvarado is he impresses in the Rios fight. Also canelo if cotto doesn't fight him. So realistically there are a handful of great options and a couple ok options but still many better options than vargas

Pacquiao is younger than mayweather, in better physical shape than him, and has already accomplished more in his career. Pacquiao could realistically fight the rest of the decade and keep fighting the best available opponents and win yet another fighter of the decade. If mayweather ducks pacquiao I think he would even be a question mark for the hall of fame. No other great fighter in other eras ducked for years and years the arch nemesis and other best fighter in the division. The closest example would be bowe ducking Lewis, and his stock ranked because of that as will mayweathers of that's what his decision is

Why do Pacquiao and his team always giving a deadline? Why are they never called out for ducking when they back out? They do this every time, we hear its movement and actual negotiation happening and they give out deadlines. That don't sound like they really trying to make the best fight possible.
