Williams was a no name but as I responded, it only took the opponent to have 0,1 or 2 fights at WW and Floyd was game even if they were not well known and even of they would not attract the big bucks. Now to answer your question, both Williams and Sergio thought there was a chance at Manny NOT Floyd but if you check out some of their interviews they admit to Manny being too small. Manny fought once at 150 and during training camp realized that 147 is the maximum for him. Floyd on the other hand has fought at 154 since 2007 for a total of 3 times. That is right. Before, during and after being called out by Sergio and Williams. Plus Floyd fans want Floyd to fight Cotto at 160! Whoooa!

I didnt read this part but im going to respond to your reason or theirs, whatever, as to why those fights didnt get made because pac is too small is total crapola.. narvaez a very small fighter fought donaire and inoe both way bigger fighters then himself, holfield and tyson beat bigger men as well in their divisions, cotto beat the bigger martinez(shot or not) de la hoya fought hopkins, morales was too small for jr ww and won a belt there, so dont give me this pac is too small crap, cuz if floyd could fight pwill and martinez then pac can too but we know wut happened there!

Pacquiao and Mayweather are around the same weight (150) on fight night. Mayweather is held to a higher standard because he is the better fighter. Would Mayweather get away with fighting Algieri?
