Personally I don't believe he is afraid. I think he is stuck in a battle between his ego and money and add to that that he does not like giving in to what he probably thinks he rightfully owns, the Cinco De Mayo date and this all creates a conflict in him. That's my take.

Having said all that, I think if they fight, Mayweather gets stunned or dropped a couple times but uses his incredible skills to win a close fight, 116 to 114. I could be wrong, but that's my take.

A) who knows if Cotto has signed. B) No one is in a rush, it is called getting an answer so that a plan B can take place. C) As to the process of negotiating, if Floyd is dragging, then there should be a deadline because that puts everyone in limbo. And "whatever time needed" is only within reason. Whatever does not mean waiting to receive no word from Floyd for an eternity. If Floyd has been silent, then silence is not golden, it does nothing to show where the situation is at. Floyd needs to sht or get off the pot, if what is being circulated is true.

My main point is not about promoting, it is about preparation and it goes without saying that Pac would need more time to fight Floyd which would be early May, whereas Pac could be ready to fight another opponent in April. As to a deadline, everything has a deadline. Floyd cannot be given an indefinite time to respond to all the efforts being made right now to put the fight on and if he really wants to fight Pac, then he should understand the need to move forward and respond to what would be the greatest payday for an athlete in the history of sports. It is hard to imagine Floyd being nonchalant about such huge "Money". If he is acting that way, ego is more important than money. And I don't think anyone knows which one rules over the other since we cannot read Floyds mind. We have to hear from him, hopefully soon.

Calling a guy a loser without knowing who it is or even if you think you know who it is just pure hating. C) Even the article shows they are waiting on Floyd and there are other articles such as Dan Rafael's that indicate Floyd is the holdup so your fictional scenario assumption is just you projecting without verifying. I do think they should stay quiet but there is a limit to how much waiting should be done without receiving word, if the slowness or holdup is on Floyd's part, as has been indicated by the media thus far.

Nobody will be happy with whoever the moving on opponent is they just need to take there time and get the fight done both will suffer moving on to another opponent.
