Ward is basically a younger, more articulate, more likeable version of what Bernard Hopkins was before the Tito fight. And between the Tito and DLH fights. He's not gonna chase lesser fighters across the pond. He's not moving up in weight. All he's gonna do is sit back, keep winning, and eventually the best at or around his division are gonna have to see him. That worked out pretty well for Nard. Don't see why it won't for Ward.

Ward cleaned out his division with back 2 back elite fights - what is there to complain about? These other fighters know that their game is not up to par, so please keep making up the excuses- oh but wait Chris Algiere is an exciting fighter??? No one mentions Ward's name, the last one that did has not been the same (Chad Dawson) these cats whisper Ward's name, and when they give their excuses the fans turn into mocking birds - jedi mind trick ***s...
So stop the crap about nobody wanting Ward.

SOunds like Ward "took one" for the team at HBO by saying GGG is staying at 160 to clean it out so fans don't hold his words against him.I respect Ward for being the bigger man, but fans will not forget GGG's words anymore than they will forget Ward's.

Can't argue anything Ward says there.
GGG himself says he wants to stay at 160 for now. Ward is currently at 168 but an indefinite hiatus.
They're not a collision course.
But if that day comes I think Ward would take the fight.
At the minute both have other things to take care of.

The problem for Ward is his activity, or lack thereof. He has to start making things happen, even if all of his options right now are sub-optimal. Ward is no spring chicken. He's 30 years old and has already been set back by injury.
Ward is one of the most promising fighters in the sport but I can't help but feel that at this pace, in a few years we could very well be talking about how we never got to see what he was capable of in his prime.

hmmm says he's not chasing 160 pounders ... Is constantly talking about a 160 pounder.
Says GGG should stop talking about him ... Never stops talking about GGG (who hardly ever mentions him)
Says he wants the biggest fights out there ... Refuses to fight kovalev, stevenson etc etc
Anyway meh I wish ward the best I just wish he'd quit talking and start fighting ... freaking anybody would do at this stage
