Why was Golovkin willing to move up to 168 for Chavez Jr but not for Andre Ward?

I'm holding them both to the same standards. Neither is a duck IMO.

You called GGG a duck so I'm guessing you'd label Ward as one too? Right? Right?

The key difference as already mentioned is that Ward wasn't on the verge of securing a fight against another fighter at 175 while acting strange when asked about Kovalev.

Example: Ward and Pascal are set to agree to fight at 175 lbs, in Canada. Fight get cancelled..... Ward is asked about a possible Kovalev fight but then goes on to fight a random contender at 168.

That's basically what Golovkin did after Chavez, this is my main problem.
The negotiations didn't work out, just like the rematch Froch was suppsoed to get against Ward in the UK. So why are bringing up something that never happened, GGG has never even fought a guy at 168 ever. Ward on the other hand HAS fought at 175 pounder, but refuses to fight all the rest but GGG is ducking lol.

        lol
Darren Barker's leftovers ok then.... if you look back at what i said before i said if he wants to become the man at 160 i have no problem with that

The problem i have is that he and his team BACKTRACKED on this statement by saying they were willing to fight ANYONE from 154-168 and still i didn't have a problem because things can change but then when asked about Ward he or his team say they aren't ready, want to finish at 160, or he doesn't bring any money. long story short, they go back to their original unfinished busines nonsense.

OKAY... so lets just say they backtracked! Golovkin really doesn't wanna fight the #1 168lber yet!!

whats your point?!?! lol get over it

Like someone said on the last page 8. Wards team NEVER sent an offer.... All he said was "i would fight him." That's it. literally. On top of that Ward is having a legal dispute with his promoter and has to go to court. he is not even in a position to fight lol wtf are you complaining about?

Ward: "No one wants to fight me"

            Kovalev: "I'll fight you!"

Ward: "What's the point? I might just retire"

I brought it up as an example to explain to the other guy why i have a problem with GGG not fighting Ward but don't have a problem (for now) with Ward not fighting Kovalev which is that Ward didn't have a fight scheduled to move up to 175 lbs against someone e.g. Pascal but then when the fight fell through, didn't entertain the idea of fighting Kovalev.

                Here is the reason...

At middleweight there is big money fights and still big names out there to be fought with for GGG...
                • Miguel Cotto (WBC)
                • Peter Quillin (WBO)
                • Felix Sturm (Likely If fought in Germany this would provide a good payday)

Then ofcourse not to forget the potential of a future PPV star coming up from 154lbs
                • Canelo Alvarez

What does Andre Ward have left for him at 168lbs?
                • Sakio Bika (WBC) *Already beat him, boxing isn't big in Australia small drawing power
                • Carl Froch (IBF) *Already beat him, Froch refuses rematch unless in Britain... Ward doesn't want this.

That is it... THAT IS IT!!
There is absolutely SFA left at 168lbs for Andre Ward THIS is why people are claiming the guy should move yp but IF he really want a pay-day with a middleweight why does he not cut weight and move to 160lbs If he so desperately wants that fight with Golovkin?

As far as all the names I've mentioned the only one Ward has for a real payday is Froch.
GGG will be making big bucks If he gets to fight the likes I've stated.

do you know something the rest of us dont? Do you have inside knowledge that an offer was presented to K2 by Goosen to do Ward-GGG and K2 turned it down?

Because absent an actual OFFER on the table, everything else is just people running their mouths and assuming this or that..............

You said Ward doesn't have a fight lined up because no one wants to fight him. Not true though, is it?
