Why was Golovkin willing to move up to 168 for Chavez Jr but not for Andre Ward?

    This back-and-forth is just silly.

GGG and K2 entertained the Chavez fight because there was an actual OFFER on the table from Top Rank.

People can speculate and run their mouths all day about GGG is ducking Ward, or whatever, but the bottom line is until Goosen actually puts an OFFER on the table to GGG, then there's nothing for GGG to "duck" in the first place........

There's no difference. Golovkin doesn't want to fight Ward because the reward doesn't match the risk and there's more money at 160 and below.
Sickening comment, if Quillin did something like this everyone would go crazy.

I knew this was the reason but i'm just shocked you actually admitted it. Clear duck.

The key difference as already mentioned is that Ward wasn't on the verge of securing a fight against another fighter at 175 while acting strange when asked about Kovalev.

Example: Ward and Pascal are set to agree to fight at 175 lbs, in Canada. Fight get cancelled..... Ward is asked about a possible Kovalev fight but then goes on to fight a random contender at 168.

That's basically what Golovkin did after Chavez, this is my main problem.
There's no difference at all. Ward has talked many times about going to 175. He said he wants to be Heavyweight Champion FFS!

Then he was asked about Kovalev and he said something like "What's the point?" which is a very strange statement for someone who's crying about no one wanting to fight him.

Ward isn't moving up to face Kovalev for the same reason GGG isn't facing him. Not enough money on the table.

You fanboys need to stop with the double standards.

He fought last November your acting like he's been inactive for 18 months.

He's relevant because he's the man at 168 what do you expect? lol.

Yeah defending your belt against a top 5 MW while waiting to get a fight with the lineal champ in your own division to try and officially become the "man" instead of randomly moving up a division to fight the #1 168lber (without trying to fight the lineal champ in your own division first) to please a random internet forum fan who just wants to see you lose is worth talking about!

              lol

Same reason Ward doesn't move up. It's not a duck in either instance.

If you're a fanboy then you call one a duck and the other is ok depending who's **** you're riding. In your case, it's Ward's

It's funny how you brag about Gennady fighting on HBO against c/d level fighters but then take a dig at Ward by dismissing his best wins against a/b level fighters.

Yes Dawson came down but he was the one who said he is willing to come down to 168 at the interview post fight but funnily enough prime Kessler and Froch are better than Golovkin, especially at 168.

Golovkin has beaten nobody remotely close to Ward.
This guy LMFAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was "hours" from his hometown, by hours you are referring to Carl Froch right? I mean Oakland is only "hours" from the UK, same thing with Kessler, or Chad Dawson. Also, all those wins I mentioned were 3 years ago, and 5 years ago when GGG wasn't even known what has Ward done since then? He's talked and commented on more fights than he has had sparring session since coming over to HBO.

And who cares if Dawson said he would move down, it's the only way Ward took the fight, not even a 170 catchweight let Ward take that fight, which is the problem with Ward. If he doesn't get to pick EVERYTHING and get his way he doesn't fight then you get clowns like you defending him, which is fine. But, not counting Cotto GGG is the #1 MW fighting the #2 MW, Ward's last fight was against Edwin Rodriguez (who would fit the C class fighter) and NO ONE even lined up.

This post will just get ignored. The only people complaining are those who just randomly want GGG to lose.
