And as far as HBO putting bad cards on goes, read my post above. If they arent delivering in boxing they deliver with the rest of their programming. Something I cant say about Showtime.
We agree the card is utter crap and Danny shouldn't be fighting such an unworthy opponent. I just didn't differentiate between degrees of crap. My point is simple-does that poster react the same when HBO puts on utter crap.

I saw that above. I don't watch much showtime programming either. Boxing, 60 minutes sports, Rome, and some of the documentaries like the one on Lenny Cooke. I can understand your point but surely they have had other quality fights.

      January 25th:
Lamont Peterson vs Dierry Jean with an undercard of Jermell Charlo/Gabe Rosado, Ruashee warren, and also Robert easter. Very nice night of boxing.

      February 28th:
J'Leon Love vs Biosse with an undercard where Bado jack got man handled and Arias and Pearson were in tough fights. Decent fights to watch and took them at face value, but we know this board does not like any of these fighters since they are associated with Mayweather.

      March 15th:
Danny Garcia vs. Herrera in a very good showing by herrera, with an undercard that featured a fight I was looking forward to in Wilder vs Scott which was sketchy, a bit of a surprise knockout from Lopez over Ponce De Leon, and Danny Jacobs with a quick win. Never know how fights will turn out, so thats why i always let them play out in the ring. Did not expect any of the results of this night.

      April 19th:
Hopkins vs Shumenov where Hopkins continue to amaze at his age with an undercard with Quillin (who really needs a big fight) winning a pretty easy one, Shawn Porter putting the dukes on Paulie, and getting to see a bunch of young decent fighters. i enjoyed the prelims and the main card. it was a very decent night in my eyes.

      April 26th:
Thurman vs Diaz with an undercard that had a possible/probable fight of the year fight in Molina/Matthyse. Great action in that fight, just great. Omar Figueroa is always someone I love seeing, and Jermall charlo.

      May 24th:
Stevenson vs Fonfara which actually could be up for fight of the year and is another reason why you should let the fights play out in the ring. Fight had me on the edge of my seat. Fonfara showed true heart. lemieux surprised me winning against guerrero in the manner he did, and Jermell Charlo in the ring. It seems like I remember seeing prelims for this one but cant remember, but it seems like I saw something good.

      June 21st:
Hell of a brawl between Guerrero and kameagei. Haymakers all night but had me saying "damn" every 10 seconds. GREAT performance put on by Lomachenko in a fight I was really hyped to see. He put it on Russell and just had a great showing. Coodles to him. or the first time in a long time, A pretty damn good showing by Devon Alexander. The prelims were ho hum.

It has been atleast 5 ShoBox shows where we see nice up and coming fighters like Errol Spence, Antoine Douglas, Joel Diaz Jr, Marcus browne, Ivan redkach, and many more. My point in doing all this was that people are complaining and talking about cancelling Shotime, yet with all this action that Shotime has given, how could this even be a thought. If you are a fan of this sport, Shotime is a must.

Salka is a LW & a light puncher. This fight tells us what we already knew; Herrera whipped Garcia's ass at his homecoming fight. Instead of getting his next fight as a victorious defending champion, Garcia's getting a tune-up fight.

Shotime has also given us atleast 5 ShoBox cards and a those are usually entertaining. I never really care about mathups on paper, only what happens in the ring. I have both HBO & Shotime, so i am happy. Only complaint I have with HBO is their constant 1 and 2 fight cards and force feeding us who they want us to like.

we are not discussing why people subscribe to HBO. you surely don't know why they do. I responded to that poster, who did not mention the other programming as a reason why showtime was being dropped, unless s/he did and I missed it.

Boxing is HBO's main sports programming, especially since they dropped the NFL show. To say they broadcast it to not get subscribers is ridiculous. They benefit from other shows but HBO Boxing was on well before the SOpranos, the wire, Larry David shows etc etc and will be on well after they are off.

You may have signed up for SHow just for boxing, that doesn't mean everyone has. I didn't ask you if you were keeping it or not. I asked the other poster. Unless that is your alt you can not answer for that poster.

Look at the huge difference last year between these networks. This at at time when sleazebags Haymon and Schaefer took all their fighters with them.

you are very different from much of NSB. Most of NSB judges fights solely on how they look on paper and if it isn't "something they want" then they badmouth it and post they will not watch. They often miss very good fights.

Was not even talking to you, yet you come back and call me a "*****." This is why the level of this board is so low, people like you. As a boxing fan, you should want to see as many fights as possible, which Shotime provides. The Stevenson and Robert Guerrero fights were incredible, so i dont get why the complaining. Then the new generation fights. Please shotime is a must as a boxing fan.

Have no clue why you quoted me. I have both HBO and Shotime and got them both for boxing. What i spoke was what I felt. Too bad he is cancelling. Nice card for the youngsters tomorrow, Antoine Douglas on the 25th. HBO force feeds us fighters, i.e. Zou Shiming.

Im with you but listen, the only way for Showtime to listen to us or for Espinoza to get fired is for us to do what that guy did, cancel. If you follow the other programming I can understand keeping Showtime. But if you have Showtime solely for boxing then let them hear your opinion about these **** cards.
