If they end up going with Abregu, that fight will need a VERY strong undercard to sell well. Having Donaire on it wouldn't hurt.

Man they are so shiesty man this dude dont want to share the stage with Donaire. It can only help to have a big name phily fighter on the undercard. Floyd didnt mind putting Broner on his cards. Floyd is the one who loses money when he has those stacked undercards. He had to cut his paycheck in order to get Garcia and Lucas on his undercard. He paid them out of his own pocket.

fans like to buy ppvs knowing they'll get their money's worth, that means stacked cards. i'm not going to spend 60 bucks with just one big name on it. there's a chance the fight could end early, be a boring fight etc.

with at least two big names on the card, i might buy it, otherwise i'll just stream it.

I have said it a hundred times. Koncz is nothing more than Bob Arum's errand boy. His only job to convince Pacquaio to do whatever Arum wants. He has no say over who Pac fights, when he fights or who is placed on the undercard of his fights. I seriously doubt if Arum presented Abregu as an option for Pacquaio. Arum would suggest a fight with Rios first. Koncz is a clown who shows himself to be a buffoon every time he opens his mouth.

Koncz is actually right...from a business point of view having Donaire on the undercard is pointless...

Besides, no way Arum is going to pay for an expensive undercard...

It sounds like greed to me. Koncz & Co. would rather only have to pay Manny the big $$, and have a bunch of no-names on the undercard for peanuts. They must not have faith in Donaire's star power, and feel they'd have to pay big money for diminished returns. Maybe they're right; Nonito probably needs a definitive win to boost his star power to justify a PPV outing. If his star power were big enough, being co-featured on a Pacquiao PPV would generate big dollars. Though Manny's die-hard fans would buy a card with him fighting Bozo the clown, His PPV cards would draw more of the casual audience if the undercards included some big names.

Pac v. Ruslan is a bad fight...Pac will dominate and not KO Ruslan out of compassion would be my guess...it'll be another Rios, Margarito, situation... even this diminished Pac will dominate Ruslan...
