“Fighter of the Decade” Manny Pacquiao’s adviser Michael Koncz has effectively downgraded the proposal of Top Rank promoter Bob Arum for Pacquiao to fight Argentina’s Luis Abregu in Macau on November 22.

Top Rank’s matchmakers headed by Hall of Famer Bruce Trampler had recommended Abregu who is ranked No. 2 by the WBC and No. 4 by the WBO where Pacquiao is welterweight champion.

Abregu would have been a joke...wow Arum is so desperate to keep Manny fighting in house..it's disgusting...

Oh well...Manny figures I get $20 mil no matter whom I fight, so I'm sure he doesn't care...definitely could have made more going to GBP...

Marquez is the only fight that Manny has any chance to have with Arum where he can make more than his guarantee...

Pacquiao and Koncz are just not good business men period...Koncz is clearly in Arum's pocket and there is a conflict of interest...it made no sense for Manny to resign with Top Rank at this point in his career...and even the contract before this one...

There are hardly any PPV worthy fights...Mayweather v. Pac is PPV worthy

Mayweather v. Martinez would have been...probably not anymore especially if Martinez struggles with Cotto...

Pacquiao v. Marquez V is borderline because of the historical significance...I probably would stream it though this time...

Even Cotto v. Martinez isn't PPV worthy to me because Martinez and Cotto haven't been looking the best in their last few fights...

Canelo v. Lara...is a very interesting fight..but neither guy has proven enough to me for it to be a PPV fight...

The best fight out there for Pacquiao right now is Maidana and Marquez is a close second...

Maidana is hot right now after pretty much gaining the moral victory over Floyd...

Arum will never do that though because he's a greedy pos who is not concerned with making the biggest fights...only controlling promotional revenue and direction...the same with Schaefer..

De La Hoya seems like the only one willing to work things out to make fights happen...
