What does Floyd or his fans have to do with this?

And whats with the logic? Floyd is both indisputably number 1 p4p AND draw. That example is terrible bro wtf lol.

Anyway, there's a precedent of this happening but with bigger names... For example Martinez a top pound for pounder getting less than JR (though I hear he had a good deal ppv number wise). Bradley getting less than Pac now, etc. It's not a floyd fan logic thing... Dont be so defensive.

GGG isnt even a bigger name than Ward though imo...not yet but soon. One thing is being a top name at 160 another is being THE name and champ at 168. Regardless of if GGG becomes a bigger name he wont have the leverage because Ward isnt a scrub name wise and he would be the challenger.

only maybe, just maybe these guys wont punk out and actually fight each other.
At this point, I'm just hoping GGG fights somebody I don't have to look up on boxrec. Hell, with his resume, he could have entered ESPN's middleweight Boxcino tourney and it would have been an upgrade.

As for Ward, he has nothing to prove.

The ****** Mount Rushmore of boxing GOATs.
Please show me a quote of someone saying Golovkin is the best ever. Also, please tell me which middleweight you think beats him and how many points you want to bet.

I agree that GGG needs to get a big name on his resume this year or risk getting stale. it would also be nice to see if he really has the goods.

While Ward may not have to "prove" himself in terms of resume, if he wants to be popular he has some work to do. I just want to see him fight more. He is becoming the next Antonio Tarver

Vernon forest doesn't get excited from in fighting? The same Vernon forest that lost twice to guy with Mayorga's style?
I appreciate it. But I appreciate it for what it is at the moment. He's looked exceptional against ****ty competition. There's no way around that.

As for Forrest, he also beat Shane Mosley twice, three times if you count the amateurs. See, that's what happens when you actually fight top compeition. **** happens. You're a tough match-up for somebody like Mosley and can't beat a style like Mayorga. I think Forrest was better than Spinks. But Spinks was better against Mayorga. If GGG would actually fight someone, I'm sure he'd eventually run into a style he doesn't fare all tthat well against. From where I'm sitting, that style is Ward's, which is why he's not fighting him.

GGG's resume is a joke. Go through Ward's resume. He's beaten former and current world champs. He always looks dominant in fights against fighters Golovkin can't hang with. Like I said, if GGG can't get a good fight at 160 he can get more belts and better challenges at 168 where Ward is the Golden goose.

Which is why NOW is the time for them to fight each other. Neither has a better option in front of them. This is everything GGG is said to have wanted. Now he dosnt want it. Boggles my mind.

Who cares about the word "star" in boxing, anyway? I mean really. The only people who like to throw the word "star" around are the same ones who think good fighters don't deserve shots at well-known fighters because they don't have enough "fans."

I.e. in 2014, Chavez Jr is a star. Canelo is a star. But both guys suck as far as boxing goes.

Golovkin may or may not be a "star." (however his popularity is quikcly rising) but he IS one of the best and most dangerous fighters in the sport.

The Cotto v Sergio fight is going to dictate what happens next with GGG.

GGG is going to go after that lineal title at MW. I dont have a problem with that. And thats most likely what HBO wants as well. GGG v Martinez and if GGG wins, he fights Ward in a much more popular fight.

Of course, Cotto could throw a wrench in things. If he wins, Floyd will immediately fight him for the lineal MW title.

You don't even get that you're making my point for me. It is this same pattern over and over. Everyone is scared and nobody can beat them.
