For me, a fighter's personality has nothing to do with how I rate them as a fighter. I consider Floyd the best in the world. But from the persona he puts out for the public. I'd probably be around him about five minutes before a misunderstanding would take place. On the otherhand, Cotto seems like a very cool, and personable guy. And I generally feel that he's a lil overrated by most fight fans. Or at least he was at the height of his career. To me, one has nothing to do with the other.

As for GGG's style. Personally, he is boring to me. And that's because I'm unable to generate any personal excitement heading into his fights against what I know are completely overmatched opponents. I was locked up at the time and didn't see it live. But I was much more excited about Rigondeaux-Donaire than I've been about any of GGG's fights. I was a lot more excited about Ward-Dawson than I have ever been about GGG's fights. I'm sorry, and call me a hater if you want. But there's nothing exciting to me about watching GGG steamroll tomato cans. Part of excitement for me is anticipation. And the only two GGG fights I've had any time of anticipation for is Proska and Macklin. Sorry.

If a Ward-GGG fight ever happens I'll make a lump of cash betting on Ward. At the same token, if a Ward-Stevenson fight ever happens, you know who I'll put my money on to get stopped

How??? Everybody is not a fan of seek-n-destroy fighters. My favorite fighters in my lifetime as a fight fan are Sweet Pea, Floyd, Toney, RJ, Hopkins, and guys like that. I also loved watching guys like Winky, Ward, Rigondeaux, and the late Vernon Forrest. Did you not hear Jim Lamply say on the last Rigondeaux broadcast that he had a conversation after the first Gatt-Ward fight with Forrest. And Forrest stated to him that "he doesn't see how anybody could be entertained by fighting like that." And that "that's not good fighting." Some people actually enjoy the sweet sciende.

Anyway, you missed my point. Even if GGG had a style that I liked, he would still be "boring" to me because I can't get excited about anybody he's fighting. And anticipation of a match-up are important for me.

He's not brandon rios. He's a silver medalist. His seek and destroy style is a methodical one. Not every offense oriented fighter is a face first punching bag bar brawler. There is skill in what he does and you don't seem to appreciate it.

Vernon forest doesn't get excited from in fighting? The same Vernon forest that lost twice to guy with Mayorga's style?

Kind of funny that you see tons of red bars saying little more than, "let's treat Golovkin's resume with the same scrutiny we do all these other fighter's resumes." Meanwhile there are a bunch of green bars who think we should name Golovkin best ever and just stop the sport now. Pacquiao, Golovkin, Matthysse, and Donaire. The ****** Mount Rushmore of boxing GOATs.
