This is not the best move of Pac and neither the bad one, but this left as the only option for Pac to take for now while Floyd is evidently reluctant to fight Pac. Floyd is just committing to wage war againts Pac through publicity but cowered to death to square with him in the ring, and this what many people here refused to understand the favorite mind games of Floyd. Reason, these people like those are committed with Floyd no matter how idiotic Floyd reasoning were, and it may be, and purely those are not boxing fans. Pac gave-in to Floyd demands and should be settled and things should be smooth by then, but everytime Pac agrees finally, Floyd always ready to fire for another demand that he knows Pac can't just easily give-in, and when Pac ceased to agree Floyd will come up to his favorite response by capitalizing Pac previous concessions esp. of his latest efforts of aggreeing with his demand by saying, Pac is so desperate to fight with me! True boxing fans should condemn this Floyd mind games, and should support Pac-Floyd fight now, and so many reasons Pac had understood these and want to fight Floyd by finally agreeing to Floyd condition after conditions, but Floyd in his part showed how he runs away from Pac by making condition after conditions! A fighter who loves to fight and fear nobody will fight anyone without giving so much pre-conditions and concerns to just bit discrepancies ranging from drug test method, on price stake and to whoever promoter handling his opponent. Much more if Arum wanted this fight much to happen.

Now, these are facts and from the horses mouths. Why are these things ignored like Arum saying he don't need Mayweather, or about the stadium, that Manny cut won't heal? Mayweather never said those things. Arum already tried to keep Floyd from Oscar when he was at Top Rank because of personal reasons. Arum has a history of blocking fights. Sure Floyd is difficult sometimes but if you compare negotiations. His fights go smoother than Manny's (Hatton/Cotto). Manny thought he was as big as Floyd or his equal and that was and is definitely not the case.Last edited by GRUSTLER; 01-11-2014, 08:11 PM.

A bit of a non-story really. Mayweather said he won't work with Arum..so this is what come of it. Suppose by Boxingscene logic though it's Pacquiao's fault for not breaking his contract with Arum.
Let's be real..the fights not going to happen. The idea of it happening pops up every now and again to keep interest in the 2 fighters, which helps keep the money coming in.
Pacquiao will fight Bradley and Mayweather will fight Khan. Then after that, we will hear all the talk of Mayweather Vs Pacquiao again...up until they annouce their next opponents. And the cycle repeats.

[QUOTE=GRUSTLER;14125074]Now you are just being cheeky. You claim to not be a fan of any of them in particular but I'm seeing something different. Speaking for myself I am more of a Mayweather fan because I think he is the best fighter technically and his skill set is impressive. Manny is a good fighter but could have been better if he was taught better defensive strategies. I get you are a fan of Pacquiao and that's cool but I wish people would just stop blaming Mayweather because clearly the reason we haven't saw the fight 4 years ago was because Manny felt like he didn't have to take orders from Floyd and that the commission should do their jobs.

I enjoy both guys. Id rather watch Manny but I appreciate what Floyd does in there. I have to disagree about them being almost equals back then though. They were #1-2 P4P and almost equals in PPV. The fight should have been 50/50 then or 55/45. Now I could see 70-30 for Floyd.

Some actual facts:
1st go around:
- In late 2009 after Manny defeated Cotto impressively Floyd and his team reached out to TR to negotiate a Mayweather vs Pacman fight. It was Floyd's team who reached out, not Manny's.
- In late 2009 the OST request was know to team MP.
- Floyd eventually agreed to a 50/50 split down the line, a weight of 147, gloves of 8oz, a standard ring and a $10 mil per pound penalty. This was after he was adamant it would be 60/40, and Roach running his mouth all day about how Floyd wouldn't do the fight at 147. Basically he conceded to be on even footing.
- After this occured OST suddenly became a problem, and we had comical excuses such as blood draining, bruising, USADA being corrupt etc, the list is so silly i still laugh when i remember the tard nation justifying them on NSB.
- TR and co left the negotiating table and tried to blame Mayweather by saying they offered a 14 day cut off and Floyd refused. Retired federal judge who mediated said it didn't happen this way. Clottey fight signed and sealed two weeks later.
- After this fiasco Floyd is very clear that he won't be offering the same terms on OST next go around and he will want no cut off.
2nd go around:
- TR reckons they reached out to Floyd to negotiate a fight despite never actually calling any member of his team. Absurd countdown clock appears on TR website. A great promotional tool by Arum for Manny's next fight. Again "Floyd is ducking Manny" "Floyd is scared" are the go to lines.
3rd round:
- Floyd and his team are the ones to initiate contact again. Terms are again pretty favourable, and at this point Manny has publicly in the media already said OST without a cutoff is no problem. Looks like this might be the time to make the fight.
- The lame excuses start again, as if they weren't lame enough the first time. Everything from who is administering the test, to stadiums needing to be built in Nevada, to staging the fight in Texas or Dubai with it's investors, or a cut that just won't heal and TR and team Pac turn it down again.
4th round
- Floyd calls Manny with a $40mil flat offer. Manny declines. Have no issue with this, he deserves some PPV upside, well within his right to decline it.
So where in all of this has MP or his team initiated a negotiation or signalled a willingness to actually make this fight??
