It seems to me that the person who is putting obstacles in the way of making this fight happening, is Floyd. There's always a new demand.

Personally I've given up on this fight long ago and both fighters legacy will suffer accordingly. Mostly Floyds.

I didn't know asking for random blood testing for both fighters was an obstacle? Also offering 40mil? That sounds like negotiating to me. What about asking Pacquiao to severe ties with the same promoter that is robbing him blind? Guess we have different definitions for the word "obstacles".

What Arum is doing to Manny is no business of Floyd Mayweathers. Asking for random blood testing when nobody was doing it? I'd say that could have been a big obstacle at that time sure...
You don't call the fighter himself and offer money for a fight. That's the whole reason he has Arum and Koncz, they handle the business side of things. Call them and make the offer, not the fighter who barely speaks English. Did he really think manny was going to negotiate a deal. From what I've read, Manny said talk to my people and that was that.

Here's how I see it:
The first round Floyd asks for testing. Mannys team says who are you to ask for that kind of testing, we won't give in to your demands..fight is off.
Second round: manny comes back says ok ill do the testing, and we split 50/50. Floyd says no.
Next round: manny says ok how about 55/45 in your favor with testing. Floyd says no I'll give you 40 million. Bogus offer on such a lucrative fight, Mannys team says no.
Now here we are and Floyd says leave Arum I'll never do business with him. Was he willing to do business with him all those other failed tries? I just don't get the guy, he contradicts himself so much it crazy.

I just want to see the fight. I don't think Manny is shot just yet and Floyd is still great so why not get it on before it's to late. There's no excuse for the fight not happening, the money involved is just

Pacquiao let his pride, emotions and ego get in the way of this fight. He had a good 3 years on top of the sport but now he is not as he once were. When he does decide to fight he will take the lowest offer and Pacquiao's fans will be upset. He played the who got the biggest balls contest with Floyd and lost. I would like to see them in the same ring but unfortunately business is business as Arum told Marquez after the 3rd Pacquiao fight that mostly everyone thought Marquez won.

So what if no one was asking for it? No one asked EVER for 10mil over 147 but Manny did and Mayweather agreed. Roach even said prior that it would not be an obstacle.

You say Arum is robbing him, but Floyd offering Pac 40 mil is robbing him too

Pac was at the peak of his powers back then and his popularity was at an all time high. Floyd making 100 mil + while Pac only gets 40 mil flat would have been daylight robbery.

It doesn't matter that Pac's career has taken a nosedive since, Pac just wanted his fair share back then.

Manny will not take a crap deal even if he leaves Arum. I think 70-30 would be fair and that could bring Manny as much as $75 million on a $250 million fight.
When I watched PAC Marquez 3 live I thought Marquez won easily but after watching at home by myself I scored it 115-113 Pacquaio. That fight was closer then a lot of people claim.

Offering that amount of money with NO PPV revenues IS a business obstacle. I don't know why that looks like a fair offer for some of you.

Well you don't ring up a man in the phillipines offering him a fight if you never want the fight. That's a logic that can never be debunked, it's all good and dandy saying to the media "I want the fight" but you can't do anything because your hands are tied by Bob Arum. I never have any doubt that both fighters want this fight, am sure this fight gets signed the moment Arum isn't in the picture just like Mayweather-Cotto got signed the moment Cotto was a free man.

oh yeah, calling manny in the philippines lowballing him because... "What If I lose?" , that doesnt sound like Floyd is so confident and wanting the fight, It sounded more like he was trying to test the "water" if manny is amenable for a paycheck like whats been circulating now that canelo was paid 5M extra to go easy on floyd. they cant convince pacquiao to take a paycheck to go easy as long as arum is around. they wanted Pacquiao alone thinking they can easily sway him to accept a paycheck to go easy on floyd, prolly with 10Mil or 15million extra. Its all business you know. Ok I get it, Floyd Mayweather had no part in the fight not happening and still doesn't in your eyes. You're entitled to your opinion and I respectfully disagree.
