Its got to be a deep rooted hatred if Hes willing to bypass that kind of income.. I know I wouldn't care if he killed my dog, for that money I'll be there fight night.
Bob Arum protected Miguel Cotto when Floyd was under Top Rank. Cotto himself even said that he wasn't ready for Floyd when they was heading towards their bout. This Mayweather ducked Cotto/Margarito myth is a myth.

Arum said while Mayweather would have taken the $8 million to fight Margarito, he asked for a $10 million guarantee to fight opponents such as Miguel Cotto and Ricky Hatton, when Arum was only willing to guarantee $7 million.

Arum said Mayweather also asked for $20 million to fight De La Hoya, a fight Arum said he wasn't interested in participating in.

"That's not in the cards," Arum said. "He wants $20 million for the De La Hoya fight? It's not there. Sometimes, my man, you gotta know when to hold 'em and when to fold 'em. We'll talk about things down the road."

This is all true. People forget that Mayweather also called out Kostya Tszyu at 140, but didn't get the fight.

Dont think for a second if the Khan fight does only 600k PPV buys showtime won't be all over Floyd to fight Manny in september.. And I think Floyd wins so I'm no delusional Pacquaio fan.
We watch most of his fights for free in the UK, and I don't buy fights. I couldn't care less who he fights. I don't want him to fight Pacquiao doe. No point, Pac is damage goods according to people on here, once you lose then its over, just like how Cotto losing and it was "over" for him.

Manny has been through some wars and obviously the KO loss but he is not a shot fighter. He still let's his hands go, moves around the ring effortlessly for 12 rounds and has the desire to be great. Look at Mosely vs Floyd and Manny, he couldn't punch anymore, he was spent after 2 rounds against Floyd....Thats what shot looks like....

Stop lying, Hatton said he wanted the fight but Mayweather ducked him till HBO forced him to fight Hatton, just like Showtime would force Mayweather to fight Pacquiao AFTER his contract would have ran out, He also ducked Tsyzu whilst he was injured and made the IBF nominate both Hatton and Mitchell as his mandatory, he then made Mosley book his dental appointments around the time that Mayweather wanted the fight. He finally made a ridiculous offer to Arum so that Arum can turn him down from fighting Oscar, Hatton, Cotto and Margarito.

I love it when Floyd said it: And Manny Pacquiao, Yes! you're next! look at Floyd's face after he said Manny Pacquiao (he look at his right side and make sure PACMAN is not around)...EPIC!!!

I think you have to remember that before the DeLahoya fight, Floyd, while being a superb fighter and already a hall of famer was not half the draw of a guy like Oscar.
The $8 million was by far his highest payday guarantee up till that point. Can't blame Arum for not wanting to guarantee that much money not knowing what kind of PPV the fights would possibly do. In the end, Arum is a business man and I'm pretty sure Hes looking out for his bottom line only...
In the end it obviously worked out for Floyd and kudos to him for going off on his own and making it work..

On that point, does that mean all the so called negotiations between Floyd and Arum about the Manny fight were all not true? Was he willing to do business with him then or was it all a charade??
