HBO will be fine without boxing. Most of their subscribers subscribe because of shows like Real Time, Game of Thrones, Soprano, The Newsroom, etc.

Cuba in sports is the country with more medals in Olympics by far in the americans after US. Cuba has more medals than Canada, MExico, Brazil etc. In proportion os population Cuba is the country with more medals in the globe. They don't allow me to post you the medals table for instance of the Olympics at Barcelona 92, but google it and see what I say. NOt ot be condescending here but so many of you just don't understand the difference in being a fan of boxing, and running a boxing show. The business aspect of it is something that most can't understand.

I love Rigo, seen him live at his gym many times. I think he's an incredible boxer, I also understand why HBO doesn't want to invest millions in one of his fights. You guys have NO IDEA what it takes for HBO to put on a boxing show, no idea.

It takes paying off millions of dollars, and investing in something that you aren't sure if there will be a return. While I love Rigo as a fan of the sport, I would also be hesitant to invest money in him, which is what HBO will have to do.
