I believe in this that arum is still bleeding from the day that Rigo showed that Donainre is not a champion. They try to build some "champions" who are nothing. The same with Canelo and Lara. Canelo is nothing but GB wants to protect him and find a card with Mayweather for money instead of loosing this opportunity with Lara.
Rigo is fine, is he is boring the same with all defenders fighters like Mayweather. His only sin is to show everybody that those champions are not boxers and someone wh really knows to box can win then easely. Of course this is something that Arum wants to avoid at all costs. He found another fighter to the looser Donaire but not to the winner Rigondeaux, and he didn't agree to terminate his contract with Rigondeaux because with him controlled can't destroy another champions like Mares etc.
Rigo has a problem and is that HBO can't be viewed by the 11 millions in Cuba, as different of Phillipines, Puerto Rico or Mexico. So we are not able to support our fighters and the others say he is boring in order to avoid the Cubans continue destroying champions of the other countries. IS a shame, but so many atheletes from cuba are coming know looking for better paychecks, so there are many other Olympics champions coming. Lets see for how long they will be able to block the Cubans once so many of they take belts. The same to baseball, so lets see how long you can use this excuse. Everybody in this forum knows that is not possible for Donaire or Mares EVER win Rigo, so decide to use excuses instead.

If Puig was a relatively boring, uncharismatic, black Cuban who doesn't speak English, he would get Rigo's treatment. No doubt in my mind. On the flip side, I'll bet anything that a "boring" white American fighter who's kicking ass would not be rejected from any network. If you don't agree, then there's nothing I can say to convince you otherwise.
#1 reason is that rigo has no fan base.
if you go to miami the cubans who should support him dont. he deserved a parade down calle ocho after that awesome victory but every 97% of cubans are on the lebron bandwagon.
its what i see when im in miami.
rigo deserves more

Just to amuse myself, I'll bite. There was this guy named Calderon who just like Rigo would school other boxers yet he couln't sell **** to the mainstream public, was I *****ing and moaning at how he couldn't get HBO dates and 500k paydays. But as normal human being, understand that HBO is a business and they need to make money.

The best example of boxers who don't know how to fight is angulo. He is strongest than Lara, by far with better physical conditions, but he don't know how to fight and loose. I like angulo, is a nice guy, and I hope his bones in his face can recover. He has no defense at all, so he didn't know how to fight. There' no way in this world that mares or Donaire can win Rigo, or Canelo to Lara. So better try to block theydeciding not to see their fghts in order to keep his dumbos champions jaja

NOt ot be condescending here but so many of you just don't understand the difference in being a fan of boxing, and running a boxing show. The business aspect of it is something that most can't understand.
I love Rigo, seen him live at his gym many times. I think he's an incredible boxer, I also understand why HBO doesn't want to invest millions in one of his fights. You guys have NO IDEA what it takes for HBO to put on a boxing show, no idea.
It takes paying off millions of dollars, and investing in something that you aren't sure if there will be a return. While I love Rigo as a fan of the sport, I would also be hesitant to invest money in him, which is what HBO will have to do.

The non-stop booing in his last fight said it all. I've never seen anything worse. (Probably Rios/Abril, but that was not a main card.)
Don't know why people still don't get it and what part of it they don't understand. There's nobody to blame but him.
Truth is no one is stopping him from fighting the way he likes. But don't effing complain if only few fans (mostly streamers) like it.
The money is just not there. You can't make money with only streamers watching.

Is pertinent and valid about Cubans the allegation of biases. If you know a little about boxing or baseball you may know the Cubans are the first in those sports who arrived to the cmapionships, around 90 years ago. When Castro came to power banned the Cubans to participate in US championship and the Cubans disappeared from the payed boxing or baseball.
Instead during those years no country, not even England or US, had more gold medals in amateurs than Cuba. Cuba is the country in percentage to population with more medals in Olympics, and the same for so many other Olympics game. (Fift place in Barcelona 92 for instance)In the last few year some Cubans like Rigondeaux are defeacting from cuba and starting to win again championships, because Cubans has the finest boxing in the world. Is like futbol in England. The reason why Arum, Mexican Golden Boy are blocking the Cubans is because they know what Cubans are and what will happen when more like Rigondeaux decide to come and defeat.
Only a person who don't know the history can't see why the bias
