Rigondeaux at times does seem inclined to be passive simply because he sees he's already banked the round, it's amateurish in the sense and I don't think that can be denied. Donaire also needs to learn how to cut off the ring, and jab his way in. He has the perfect trainer to teach him that but it seems Garcia is only there to give him corner advice.

Lets not forget that people were booing when Donaire fought Narvaez, Nishioka (for the most part) and Vazquez Jr, of course his opponents didn't put much of an effort but Donaire does deserve some of the blame.

Anyway, I'm glad Merchant is out, and to think I was starting to miss him. Merchant is a good commentator sometimes, he would have expressed our distastefulness in the Seth Mitchell-Banks fight for example.

It just made too much sense to put Rigo on the Cotto card with the fight being in Florida. Rigo would get tons of support in Florida but I guess HBO wouldn't care about that though. I would pick Rigo over Zou Shiming any day of the week but Shiming has the opportunity to bring lots of new fans from Asia.
