Sergio knows he is finished, so he's gunning for one last big payday. If he fought any of his previous 4 opponents today he would lose.

The only one's finished are the Klit brothers. When Jennings gets his fists on them.

If Sergio show his age at his next fight, then a possible fight with the winner might happen. But if he still dominates, then he will be avoided.

Jennings would be lucky to beat Chisora.

I think the combination of Floyd's dominance, his Showtime contract, and most importantly his fans (and haters) becoming more educated to the fight game is gonna force Floyd to take on more risks, like a Martinez. Floyd is in a situation where a million PPV buys just isn't gonna cut it any more. He needs to be around 1.5M for this deal to successful for Showtime. And he's also in a situation where the people that order his fights aren't gonna pay to see him fight someone that they don't think can beat him. And there's nobody at 140 or 147 that people are gonna think can beat him. People will think a larger opponent can beat him. Plus, Floyd knows Martinez is gettable right now. I wouldn't be surprised at all if this is the route Floyd went.

No Martinez. You should fight Triple G next if he wins. He's in your division and he has a belt. Or how about fight Andre Ward. Everybody wants a crack at Floyd. Martinez would have to cut major weight and this would be the excuse if he looses. Somehow Martinez will get a pass for targeting the smaller Floyd and not fighting Triple G. If I were Floyd I would return to the welter weight division and fight at the weight he's comfortable at.

If Sergio does have a contract then we can together about a fight with Floyd. HBO wouldn't let Lennox Lewis fight Mike Tyson on Showtime back in the day when Mike was the bigger draw and had the belts.

Floyd doesn't deserve a shot at Martinez title after so many years of avoiding him but on the other hand Martinez does deserve a good payday.

Still I don't think this fight could come through because of the networks. That means Martinez options are slim. It will depends how many more fights Martinez has with HBO.

As of right now Martinez options are Cotto, Chavez Jr. and GGG.

Very true. It's just the beer talking anyway.

How a welterweight "avoids" a middleweight is still beyond me.
