Cosign. But has anyone thought about the whole showtime/hbo thing. Don't Martinez have a contract over there

So fighting the Floyd-Canelo winner for $5M+ instead of fighting GGG for less than a mil is a duck. Not the mention if its Floyd, he would be fighting the P4P king. And if its Canelo, he would be fighting a top 5 P4P'r (if he beats Floyd.) GGG's best win will be Macklin, and he won't even be on the P4P radar.

I completely agree that GGG is a bigger threat, but I also think Martinez has a better chance of beating GGG than Mayweather if that makes sense at all.

All I'm saying is, why not fight the best P4P fighter instead of GGG?

PS. I wasn't aware that his manager promised a GGG fight lol

I actually haven't thought about that, but I think you're right about Martinez having an HBO contract.

He's been calling out those guys for years.

Yes, avoiding a fighter who is in the same weight class as you, has been calling you out and has a manager saying he will make the fight happen if Golovkin wins, yeah, it's avoiding.

Canelo right now has nothing but trout on his resume, and he struggled in that fight, his record is about as unproven as GGG right now, and if/when GGG beats Macklin I'd argue it'll be better. GGG would wreck Mosley, he's shot to ****, same with Cotto or a few of the other gatekeepers.

In terms of just raw skill and talent you can see GGG is ahead of Canelo in power, stamina, footwork and punching technique. Only thing Canelo seems to be stronger at is counter punching, he got gassed vs trout after using duck and weave defense after 6 rounds, that **** ain't cool.

In the words of Paulie Malignaggi...."It's called PRIZEfighting you dummy!"

No one in their right mind would turn down a PPV fight with Mayweather or Canelo to face an internet darling that nobody really knows like Golovkin.

Now if you wanna **** on Sergio for fighting the likes of Barker, Macklin, Murray over Golovkin then that's a different story.

Fight GGG, then hopefully Floyd beats Martinez in his next fight, so Mara fans, well some Mara fans, because I am also a huge Mara fan, hate Floyd and think Floyd is ducking him, so hopefully we can put that to rest rather quickly.
