what about those racist Ustream comments he made against Pacquiao and his race and nationality. He got admonished for it but for the most part, got a free pass. In America you can say whatever you want about Asians with impunity. Say anything about black people, its career suicide.
but if Pac had said some things about black people or called Floyd the N-word, Pacquiao would not recover, his image tarnished forever. NAACP, Jesse Jackson, white media would be up Pac's ass
btw welcome to the new America, this aint 1965 anymore!

Yeah, the comments (bigotry) here are very immature and crasp. I'm mexican american and I do not agree with what Ortiz did and can totally understand Mayweather's action.
It wasn't the best decision, but it was justifiable and more importantly, legal. Mayweather has done nothing wrong but win (by any means nessesary) in the confines of the governining bodies' rules and regulations.
Was Ortiz looking for a way out?? I don't think so. Do I think that he was frusterated as hell and acted as result of the frustration? Yes. Classless and immature? Yes. Deserved what he got as a result? I think so. As much as people hate Mayweather and can probably be the most hated athlete; in this situation, he shouldn't be the scapegoat. Logically, I can't see anyone argue that.

the real problem here is race, not in a sense you all hate blacks but you all hate blacks who talk back, demand respect, rebel, retaliate to wrong doings, who dont put up with nonsense, who has opinions that you might disagree with, and see themselfs as something other than a simple minded slave that will accept anything, and will boast about it... those privlages are only given to the white man! he can do it all he wants! he can retaliate by bombing you, airing you out on national tv, he will kill you and televise it, he wont forgive you, hes ****y, he tells you how mighty he is, and goes around the world forcing his policies philosophies and religions on all nations... but like i said when a person of color ever displays these same actions its the worst thing going but nobody dies lol... red Ks accepted

WHile race shouldn't be an issue, you know if vic did this to manny they'd talk about the headbutt. Lampley, Steward, Merchant never called it inetentional. Knowing that, I can understand why people associate the backlash with race.
the funny thing is the floyd apologists on this forum... BOTTOM LINE, if you were to place ANY other fighter in floyds position, the fighter wouldve gotten criticized. PERIOD. the ACTION is getting the criticism, not the fighter. in fact, the blame is being passed around evenly to all parties involved (joe, vic, & floyd).... so the whining and playing the victim card is pretty pathetic.

Great thoughts!!
Brothers!! those agree with me and those who don't. I think it's important for Americans (of all nationalities) to deal with each other fairly. For my brothers who said I was using the race card - I was absolutely not. I was pointing out the hypocrisy that keeps blacks in one corner and whites in the other. If it's legal, can it still be unfair? This is a boxing forum and I respect that but let's broaden the scope of our discussions to help this country truly meets its potential.
Please share your thoughts and brothers let's be adult and courteous. Let's stay away from disrespectful comment's we're better than that.
