whats up with Martinez calling out small guys? Cotto has no business in fighting in 160 lbs but in 154 lbs i bet he would take the challenge. its up to Bob Arum though if he would accept it.

I didn't see Martinez ask Cotto to move up, but i'm pretty sure that Martinez won't mind going down to get the biggest Payday of his career.

first of all.....being as though I'm one of the B.Hop NSB defense attorneys on here ....I don't see anyone bashing Sergio for calling out and fighting 147 and 154 pounders with big names, big accomplishments and nice resumes....those B.Hop prosecutors are now defending Sergio...CTFU!!!!

PERSONALLY....I think its a fight Sergio CAN'T lose and a fight Cotto CAN'T win...however you wanna put it.....at the end of the day....Sergio is NOT just the best 160 pounder in the world....dude is the KING of ALL KINGS from 54-60 and SOME already have him as the KING of KINGS on the p4p list.....Sergio is scorchin' hot right now...Cotto is cool....close to lukewarm....one dude is on the rise...the other is on the slide....Sergio gets no cool points from me for calling and fighting Cotto

Manny and Floyd would most likely get beat by Sergio IMO if they ever fought him....but at the end of the day....or AFTER he beats up on everybody's fav fighter....those wins will be discredited.....it will be like giving B.Hop credit for beating up and stopping at THAT time the UNDEFEATED LEGEND Tito Trinidad or becoming the first man to stop BOTH Tito and Oscar....and the ONLY man to stop a hand full of others including Glen Johnson

Sergio is too good for his own good atm....he may fight SIMILIAR to a young Roy...but he's in that SAME boat B.Hop was in during his late 30's.....I feel bad for Sergio because he may not get the shots at the BIG name HOF players in the game like B.Hop did.....but if he does...those wins will be crapped on by the masses....trust me!!!

Now as a Cotto fan....don't wanna see Cotto get beat up in a fight he'll most likely lose....dude has had his share of wars....plus Cotto has been fighting EVERYBODY first....he fought Shane before Marg, Floyd and Pac did....he fought Marg before Shane, Floyd and Manny did(Floyd said hell naw to that fight)....he fought Clottey before Manny did.....Cotto might've softened Marg up for BOTH Shane and Manny ....time will tell.....I feel like that lil' chick who was spazzin' about Britney Spears....LEAVE COTTO ALONE!!!! Seriously why? I dont get it.. Am a big Mayweather fan and i want to see him fight Martinez NOW, Why? because Martinez is hot right now and on an impressive winning streak against dangerous opponents, Whoever beats him right now would have elevate their legacy in boxing.

When Sergio Martinez moved up and fought Pavlik and Paul Williams they weren't in his weight class. But he went up to 160 to fight these guys and won. IDK why people think Sergio is a super middleweight, just a little over a year ago Sergio was fighting at 154. He only moved up in weight because the opportunity to make some money and fight on HBO presented itself.

And just because Sergio whooped SD doesn't mean Sergei doesn't mean he wasn't good. You probably have never seen Sergei fight until last night, so, you can't have an opinion on someone you've never seen fight. Sergei has been a 154 champ for about 4 years and had about over 200 amateur fights. He was an accomplished amateur fights and won every professional fight. Just because Sergio beat him doesn't mean he sucks.

Hey, you should read my previous post. I've clearly stated that Manny is not required to go up to 154, much less 160. Manny has moved up in weight like no other fighter in history.

However, if you were Martinez, and you knew you could make somewhere in between 5 to 10 million to fight Manny, would you call him out?

You can't criticize Manny for not wanting to move up to 154, and you can't criticize Sergio for wanting a huge payday.

If he can make 147 or 154 or 160, he can call out whoever he wants. Physical apperance has nothing to do with making weight, only the fighter can decide how he feels at the weight that he's fighting.
