Martinez has been fighting to prove himself, fighting for scraps to get to where he got to in 2009, am sure Pacquiao himself would appreciate that because he was no where too until 2003/2004 when he got a chance at barrera.

I am sure thats part of it, but I can guarantee you that Martinez is also thinking about the biggest paydays of his life coming against these fighters in the lower weight division.

The fact of the matter is Martinez will probably not get any of these fights, but a guy can dream can't he.

And you never know, maybe one of these guys gets motivated to fight a terrific fighter and step up to the plate. But think their handlers would never allow it to happen.

If Martinez was "Man Enough" he would fight someone his own size not someone in a weight class 1-2 divisions below him. Why should Pacquiao or Cotto move up to fight him when 1) he doesn't bring any money to the table and 2) he won't move up to fight any of the top fighters at 168?

Dzinziruk was a solid undefeated fighter and its a good win, a much better win than say beating a 40 year old who hasn't won a fight in 2 years or a weight drained shot fighter coming off a long suspension.

Lastly where did Martinez say Cotto had to move up to fight him? Cotto is a belt holder at 154 right, if Serigio can make that weight he can fight Cotto or Pac or anyone else for that matter at that weight.

Why would Pac-Martinez be crazy? Pac-Mayweather isnt happening.. cotto is a blown up welterweight with a *welterweight* frame.....martinez has a super middleweight frame & he's bigger then a lot of super middleweights......even Dzinziruk looked like a child compared to him.

cotto vs martinez is a joke because cotto is a smaller fighter (MUCH smaller then Dzinziruk) with his best days behind him. a blown up welterweight who's been in countless wars vs a guy that can be a super middleweight is a joke of a fight...

For some reason, the boxing community is a cynical bunch. They criticize every fight and fighter even after putting on a boxing clinic.

If you can't appreciate what Sergio did last night, then you are not a boxing fan.
