Look, Martinez really is too big for Manny and Mayweather but to be honest, he's too damn good also so he would win against both and it would have more to do with his skill than anything else.

Another thing, Mayweather and Manny look like hypocrites and you fans that are defending them re hypocrites also. Do some research because you'll find out that when Mayweather fought Oscar at 154, and when Pac fought Margarito at 154, both opponents were close to 170, the same weight Martinez was last night. I think Oscar was at exactly 170 and Margarito weighed 165. Also, Martinez weighing 170 was his highest and he only did that to put on extra lbs for moving up because he's always been a 154 fighter. If you're honest with yourselves then you would admit Sergio is the new p4p king because he's beaten guys far better than the guys Pac and Mayweather has won against and thats a fact.

Am not getting paid by Mayweather! I like his work in the ring and i would love to see how he would solve the martinez puzzle, Funny thing is i think Pac and Mayweather beats Martinez but Cotto gets taken out but i would still love to see those names try and challenge themselves by fighting him at 154 not 160 if possible.
I believe that Mayweather beats Martinez, while Cotto most likely gets KO'ed, and I honestly don't know how the match with Pacquiao goes, could be an amazing upset or end by a career-ending KO. I agree with the fact that Cotto is war-torn but he DOES have a title, doesn't he? lol, he has a responsibility to either defend it or drop it, and he also is responsible for his health and livelihood. I'm pretty sure he values his life more than a belt lol. If Cotto takes the fight, he better be well-prepared physically and mentally, cuz it could potentially be his last. Not to say that Martinez doesn't have flaws in his game, but I think the only one who could truly take advantage of them is Floyd imo.

Matinez is MW champ. How about you try fighting MW's?

I don't even think Cotto even belongs at 154. I think Dzinziruk, Williams, Angulo, Kirkland, Konecny, Lara all beat him.

I think there are posters on here who are ridiculous on both sides of the spectrum. On one hand, you got people saying Martinez should move up to 168 when he started out his career at Welterweight and there are no top fighters at 168 who fight for HBO. They are all with Showtime. So that's an issue.

And then you got these posters who are being overly nuthuggish to Martinez and not taking him to task for calling out these smaller guys like Pac, Floyd, and Cotto when there are still forces to be reckoned with in the division like Pirog and Golovkin. And then you got Fernando Guerrero and Kirkland on the verge of making their bones.

Now as far as Cotto looking like a ho for not fighting Martinez, it would hold some weight if Cotto decided to go after an easy or vacant belt like he has done his whole career in the weight class Sergio is fighting in. But Pac, Floyd, and Cotto don't owe Martinez anything just like Roy said last night.

Martinez needs to fight guys who are in his own weight division. This is what Hopkins still gets bashed for when it is blown out of proportion on top of it. Berto fights scrubs regardless of how big they are, and he don't even belong in the same conversation as Martinez or Hopkins for that matter.

Like I said if Floyd goes on record and turns Martinez down Martinez would be #1 P4P in my book. Manny has already blatantly turned Martinez down. How you gonna fight for a title at a weight then turn the former champion down at that same weight when it's a mega fight? Floyd has to fight Martinez to be #1 in my book or be cool with being #2. Manny is #4 in my book cause he's also been ducking a 3rd Marquez fight. If he was smart he would fight Marquez @ 140 and get out of the welter-wt division cause long as he's there he can fight Martinez @ 54 just like he fought Margarito there.

I agree. It would be a very tough fight but I think Floyd can do it. That's why I say **** PBF/Pac and bring on the real battle for the P4P crown.
                Mayweather vs Martinez @ 154!!!!!!!!!!

Bottomline! dont try preaching to us about how your favourite fight is too small for Martinez and stop trying to tell us about how he needs to fight at 168.. if he can make 154 then Cotto, Mayweather, Pacquiao or Margarito shouldnt duck him, If HBO want Martinez to fight other guys like Kirkland or pirog then more power to them...154-160 NO limit.

Very good points in every paragraph.

                    My 2 cents.

Golovkin Pirog and N'Jikam are ready right now. (Check out N'jikam if you don't know him, he's just as athletic as Sergio)

Guerrero, Kirkland, Korobov, Lemieux, aren't ready yet. Couple of them would be after Martinez fought a few of the above listed guys though. He has lots of challenges at MW they just aren't big money.

                      Martinez-Pirog

                      Make it happen.

                      Cotto-Margarito

                      Will happen.

                      Slightly favor Margo.
