Pac has fought 3 straight TR fighters, but before that he fought a bunch of GB stock in a row, like 5 or 6, so stop with that 'he only fights TR fighters ****. Arum, Roach, Buboy have all mentioned Williams as a possibility. Paul requested a CW w/ Martinez so he can have an easier time making 147 for his next fight. It makes perfect sense and Pac has shown he is willing to take risks against guys who dwarf him. IMO, Margarito is more dangerous than Williams for Pac.

Williams is offering to drain himself to 147 to fight them, did Floyd offer to go down to 135 to fight Marquez?
it's funny to me how ppl praise this dude for offering to go down in weight FOR THE BIGGEST FIGHT OF HIS LIFE, THE BIGGEST PAYDAYS HE'LL EVER MAKE.....that's what he's supposed to do. it'd be laughable, but it's more headline-worthy for paul to say, "mayweather and pacquiao should move up to fight him."
this here is not news. who WOULDN'T go down 7 lbs. to fight smaller guys, that'll offer you the biggest pay? but IMO williams needs to focus on 11/20, b/c he loses that one, he can forget about mayweather or pacquiao.

Of course the usual haters will cry 'Pacquiao fighting only damaged goods again!', 'Paul drained himself!'
But only after Pac KOs him brutally within 6 rounds, before that Williams will be the favorite and there will be many on his bandwagon.

Win or lose it doesn't matter, as long as he doesn't get KTFO or dominated. Martinez lost and he was rewarded by Arum/Top Rank with a shot at the lineal MW championship which he won. If Williams-Martinez is another classic, close fight and Martinez wins by close decision, it won't have an impact on a possible Pacquiao-Williams fight. They'd be tied 1-1 and they can shelf the rubber match like they did part II.

i think it will be a great fight, but IMO, martinez is the better overall fighter, and should beat williams decisively this time....especially if williams is already looking ahead.
despite what uncle bob says, williams-pacquiao will NEVER happen. arum said as much before. he says he doesn't build his fighters' names up, to have them compete in big fights with unknown fighters promoted by other guys. there's a reason why margarito can get KTFO, come back and not look impressive, in beating a nobody, then get a fight with pacquiao. not that easy for williams tho. he'd have to beat martinez, get lucky enough to get a fight with cotto, beat him, then we can talk pacquiao-williams.....maybe.

want your throne should be willing to play your game not
the other way around. I agree. And that should be standard.
King Pacquiao and King Mayweather don't have go down below
just to prove something. If you want the throne, either drain
yourself or blow yourself up to get to the King's level for the
crown. And when you capture the throne, do the same thing.

Manny Pacquiao-Antonio Margarito? Arum says never...
And he never said it won't happen this time, he just said he wants to see how Manny does against a much bigger opponent first in Margarito (whom he said he would never allow to fight Pac just last year).
Since we already know Paul is easy to hit and southpaws can tag him at will, it will just come down to how Pac looks fighting against an active pressure fighter with great stamina who dwarfs him.
If Pacquiao-Margarito looks like Pacquiao-DLH, then might as well put Pacquiao-Williams on your calendar 2011 on May 1st
