Why is it that all the *****s here pretend as if Mayweather pushed a button, like a permanent button where he can't fix this whole situation. He just needs to say something along the lines of " I know I said forget the offer, but im not scared of pac I want to fight him so its back since he agrees to do it now."
He's not gonna get punished by god if he decideds to say **** it, I wanna fight him so lets do the 14 days. Its really ****** how all the *****s are really supporting this bs.

Even if Mayweather would have lost to Castillo in their first fight, he did win convincingly in his second fight, just like Manny aqainst Morales in their rematches. My point was all things being equal (quality of opposition, etc.), being 27-1-1 (I mistaken said 28-1 earlier) with 21 KOs looks much better and provides more exciting fights than 18-0, 8 KOs. I never said Mayweather ducked anyone and but both guys bypassed some guys however Mark Too Sharp Johnson was a Don King fighter who was mishandled and everyone knows, you fight a King fighter and you give up options so I don't hold that against him. Plus, he was pretty much over the hill because Rafael Marquez beat him pretty easily when they fought...
So, all I am saying is, they looked at the records, quality of opposition and I think the KO ratio is probably what pushed Manny over the edge. And for the record, Genaro Hernandez was finished (I had seen him fight live 3 times and he was nowhere near rthe same fighter after the war he had with Azumah Nelson) when Mayweather beat him and now that poor guy is fighting for his life....
And you're making excuses for another Mayweather win again. Mayweather's win over Gernaro Hernandez is no different than Pac's win over Hatton. The circumstances surrounding each fight is exactly the same. Hernandez had moved up, and was KO'd by a P4P elite in an attempt to win a title in a higher division. But when he fought Mayweather, he was undefeated at 130, lineal champ, and still a P4P elite according to most experts. Likewise, Hatton moved up and was KO'd by the then P4P King in an attempt at a title in a higher division. But when he fought Pac, he was undefeated at 140, lineal champ, and a P4P elite according to most experts. If you X the hernandez win for Mayweather, you have to X the Hatton win for Pac.

Seriously anyone will jump to the conclusion that Floyd just doesnt want the fight since he was the one that through in the OST roadblock to begin with..Last edited by solo20; 05-23-2010, 03:30 PM.

Floyd's low pro fights.
FLOYD NEED TO STEP UP his PRO FIGHT RECORD of 41 at age 33. PAUL WILLIAMS has 1 less fight than FLOYD and is only 28. JUAN MANUAL MARQUEZ had 51 at FLOYD'S age now and PAC has 15 more fights than FLOYD and is 2 years younger. No great boxer would take their sweet time like FLOYD does.

it so obvious that pac dont want the fight...how did this guy get elected to office? if you want the fight you need to undergo random blood test. you want a 14 day cutoff period? do you really want to make the fight? stop talking to the media and get to mayweathers people and negotiate through closed doors. dont try to discredit floyd to the media during your supposed negotiations...that just tells me that you dont want the fight to happen. sluggerfan could talk all he want about the floyd team being drug dealers and such but pac is the one who is doing all the ignorant talking and ****ing up the biggest fight of our time. if you cant see that you must be an idiot or dont want the fight to happen cause you dont want pac to get his @ss whooped

Nothing is set in stone as of yet. The only conrete fact via Common Law K is that the former offer of 14 day cut-off was rejected and therefore no longer valid. This deal will likely fall under NY K law since HBO is headquartered in NY I believe. That 10 day duration of time has merit in virtually every juridiction I can think of, especially New York. Simply stated, with only 10 days to "do dirt" and a post-fight test contractually gauranteed then all that matters how heavy will the penalties would be for a violation. This was a point of contention during the last round of negoiations per Teddy Atlas of ESPN's Friday Night Fights. This deal could be made with a degree of reasonableness and good faith by both sides: 50/50 split because it impicitly speaks to the 'good faith' aspect of said negoiations ~ both sides have a mutual monetary benifit in facing the other which cannot be replaced or 'cured' elsewhere.
