So why the need for extra tests?

This whole Olympic style bull**** **** came out of now where.... Sr. makes a claim that Pac must be on something, and that everything he's doing is not possible...he must be on some type of Ped's. Then low and behold negotiations get underway and what's one of the stipulations on the contract...drug testing...so where does a sophisticated test like this come from out of no where? A test that has never been done before in the history of boxing...where does this come from? Why is it proposed? On what basis is this being proposed for? I think the fact that Mayweather's openly tried to ruin this guys image and accomplishments, and create doubt in the publics mind that a fighter like Pac could be dirty -- when there has been no evident's to back up such claims -- and the way they went about the whole ordeal of accusing, (when they themselves have a history of drug trafficing ect. who are they to accuse, let alone take serious) and then adding the cherry on top by asking for Olympic style drug testing; is nothing more then them slapping Pac dead in the face and saying your a cheat. Pac could have dismissed the whole test right up front, and said *** off. The fact is he didn't...he never said he wouldn't comply with testing as it was how far he was willing to go with it before he thought it would affect his ability to be 100% come fight night. The fault in this fight not happening should be placed on Mayweather... You don't accuse a guy of wrong doing an then try to negotiate a fight with him with an, an Olympic-style drug testing basically implying that he's a dirty fighter -- when there is no history or proof of him being dirty. Now for the fight against Mosley I can understand it -- the man openly admitted to using Ped's, and I can see why the doubt might be there -- there's a proven fact that the man has used Ped's. However for a guy like Pac who in his last 2 fights has only been able to come in 144 and 145 against Clottey and Cotto...come on man ped user? If you say so I guess... As for randomness of course I get the object of being random for the fight with Mosley and Mayweather -- but it does not apply to a fight with A Pac-Mayweather as you said it would be used with a cutoff making what you are saying about Mayweather-Mosley a moot point --as neither situation would be on the same terms of how testing would be conducted comparing Pac-Mayweather to Mosley-Mayweather...There for why are you pointing a moot fact out that does not play into a possible Pac-Mayweather fight? Mayweather was willing to fight Pac with a 14-day cut off, to which he himself said if Pac agreed to the test the fight would be a go. Pac has agreed, so why not push the fight through...if he indeed wants to salvage the fight with Pac...and he did implement this to save the fight the first time, and it was acceptable to him the first time around, why not this time around? The fight is on the table...why not push it through? If Pac is willing to say i will do 14 days after he wouldn't the first time to make the fight happen the 2nd time around...I ask you why not pull the trigger?

i understand your claim to the reasons as to why the tests should be implemented in the first place..i can use your same argument and reverse it with the 10 mil penalty pac implemented on floyd..but i wont. i will try to explain it to you as i see it. pac moving up in weight and carrying the same power if not more is not normal. floyd sr pointed out that he must be on roids, which is wrong i agree with you on that. however, since this abnormality is current, floyd asked for the tests just to disspell any questions when it came to roids. now im pretty sure floyd felt like pac would just take the test and the fight would go on with two clean fighters. the fact that pac refused the test raised eyebrows. but that was not the biggest issue, the problems escalated because of pacs different excuses. now lets be reasonable, pac fan or not, those reasons for not taking the tests changed often and most of them were fishy. if pac would have just said no because of integrity and stuck to that, then fine..but he shot his credibility with those excuses. so the tests implemented because of the power pac carried as he moved up in weight. if you need a comparison, marquez moved up and lost power as it should be.

now i dont really understand what you tried to imply regarding the randomness of the test as you compared the mosely fight with the pac fight but all im saying on that issue is that even though mosely didnt get tested within 18 days of the fight, if cheating were his intentions he would not do it because he probably felt like the test can come any day. if he knew there were a cut-off of 14 days, he would be able to cheat within those days. so the randomness of the tests is what makes it effective.

also floyd took the 14 days off the table because pac rejected it in their last negotiations and then turned around and lied about the whole compromise to the media. so after that type of disrespect (that came from arum in all fairness to pac) why should floyd still grant pac that compromise especially after the floyd vs mosely fight was a huge success concerning the tests? if floyd does give him the 14 days he went out of his way to make the fight and we should credit him for that. if i was him i would not.

REFUSED OST RANDOM TESTING ,,, thats a kick in the face for all sport , there is no way Mayweather could have known Manny was going to refuse , in refusing Manny looks like he is hiding something and strengthens the call for him to be tested properly .

Manny refusing Random OS Testing is a legitimate reason to not fight him without OST random testing , PEDS use is terrible thing in professional sport , a sportsman with as much exposure as Pac cannot refuse this testing just the same as he could not refuse an AIDS test without looking guilty , this is the world we live in , be squeeky clean or dont compete .

you are absolutely correct...what i cant seem to understand is why does pac not take a hit within the media and sports experts for refusing these tests. whether these tests are well founded or not (pac fans) you have to admit that if this was any other fighter there would be an up-roar and the commission would have gotten involved.

for the blood testing to end about 18 days before the fight...tells me that theres more to the story. for one thing, it might just mean that within this 18 day time frame, USADA must believe/know that anything illegal used can/wil be detected during the final blood test to be taken immediately after the fight...

if thats not the case, then why didnt both mayweather and mosley get tested as close to as 48hrs before the fight?

something tells me that USADA knows what the effective cutoff date is...and im thinking its as far out as 18 days...plus the final blood test immediately after the fight is more than enough...to catch a crook
