Correct. And we don't even have the official numbers yet, I bet they will be higher than 1.2 million.

"Floyd is not the cash cow of boxing" u was doing alright till u said that, Floyd is without a doubt the highest paid and biggest money generator in the sport.

Also the two non-americans selling the same argument is ****** to me. Any fight that with a latin fighter brings in the latin community is going to have an extra upside but it REALLY DOESN'T MATTER ANYWAY all these buts and extra explanations and excuses for #'s are just BS. Just look at the #'s when you have 4+ fights to work with as a sample than whoever has the higher #'s is the bigger draw and deserves the bigger split. If some of you guys argument is being an American makes floyd bring in more ppv's than he deserves the bigger share. Even though I feel this is not true. When I look at the trends it seems that what brings in the #'s are how known the fighter is, how well the fight is promoted, and how meaningful the fight is.
exactly... good call on the purse split of the potential floyd/pac fight. i still wouldnt be mad if it was 60-40 for floyd... but yeah, these numbers are truth. everyone expected more from floyd... and it also puts in perspective the numbers pac did with clottey. alot of people cant get over the fact that pac & floyd are comparable in PPV (slight edge to floyd of course)... floyd fanboys always give manny 0 credit. LOL. fanboys seem to not want to accept the fact that an exciting fighter will bring in more casual fans than a defensive boxer... common sense. im sure they also want to ignore the fact of reports stating that crowds started leaving around the 10th & 11th round for floyd/shane.... seriously, i doubt a floyd fan would leave early.... also, i remember watching the MGM damn near silent near the end of the fight.... the energy was COMPLETELY sapped. im sure alot of casual fans felt the same at home.... i enjoyed floyd's performance, so i dont count. LOL

Pac and Cotto 1.2M vs May and Mosley 1.2M. Pac and Clottey 700K vs May and Marquez 500K. Yes 500K is the real numbers for that fight.

You really believe that? Why? Because he said so?

It says that the styles and the candidates are not marketable. People wanna see Pacman because it he puts on a show, and wins. All Mayweather does it try not to get hit, and win on points, which is something a lot of people are very tired of.
Are u saying there is no Filipino-American, or Puerto Rican-American? U people need to give credit where credit is due. Sometimes the b-side has much to do with the sale as the A-side. Cotto was a huge draw and contributed much to the Pacman's fight.

Any PPV that does over a mill is good.

No doubt, but so did Mosley and Marquez contribute just as much to Mayweather's PPV numbers.
