I was expecting that they will reach 3 million buys. But i think the viewers were smarter now, floyd couldn't fool them anymore.

50 - 50 split then, if Mayweather asks for more money then you know who's punking out for REAL.

Would have been more buys if Time Warner Cable didn't miss things up down here in San Antonio....couldn't get them to buy.....

the average income you are refering to are based on the poor sections of the philippines...the bigger cities like manila, etc...has bigger salaries than that you came up with.

the population of manila (one of the major cities of the philippines) is more than double the population of los angeles, CA...and manila alone is about 3 times the population of the entire puerto rico

the big cities of the philippines do not make 200.00US/month...and are more metro than puerto rico

1.2 mill to me equates to floyd not being that much more of a draw than I thought 50-50 or 55-45 for floyd I think are fair. Its funny I heard some people saying this shows how big marquez was in the ppv sails but I would say that it shows that he has less. Also the two non-americans selling the same argument is ****** to me. Any fight that with a latin fighter brings in the latin community is going to have an extra upside but it REALLY DOESN'T MATTER ANYWAY all these buts and extra explanations and excuses for #'s are just BS. Just look at the #'s when you have 4+ fights to work with as a sample than whoever has the higher #'s is the bigger draw and deserves the bigger split. If some of you guys argument is being an American makes floyd bring in more ppv's than he deserves the bigger share. Even though I feel this is not true. When I look at the trends it seems that what brings in the #'s are how known the fighter is, how well the fight is promoted, and how meaningful the fight is.

i was thinking the same thing...b-side? Cotto has a following...thats what is upsetting about pac..everyone gives him more credit then he deserves just cause he is pac. Thats why he gets the benefit of the doubt concerning the drug test. Imagine it was mayweather that did not want to take the test and pac was the one that asked for them? Just imagine that...

Yeah there's definitely a double standard.

look, I'm not knocking the Philippines. Its a beautiful country, and the women are just, well, wow. Beautiful women over there. But AVERAGE income is exactly that, an AVERAGE of the entire population. For every one person that makes over $100k a year there, there are probably 10,000 who only make ten bucks.

are you kidding me with the 200.00/month figure? the philippines alone has 3 of the TOP 10 worlds largest shopping malls IN THE WORLD...one at 3 million sq ft, the other at 3.6 million sq ft, and the other is at 4.2 millions sq ft....the phillipines as a whole is not as poor as you think.

Amen. That's one problem avoided. Looks pretty bad for Mayweather after all the talk he did if his fight with Mosley ends up doing worse than Pacquiao-Cotto.
