Still curious to see the exact amount, but 1.2 is good. It shows that two American fighters can still sell a PPV, and it also shows that Floyd is a very big name. There's absolutely no excuses now. People were saying Marquez sold the last fight, but there's no way anyone can say Mosley sold this fight. I'm very impressed.

But this also shows that Mayweather-Pacquiao most likely isn't going to do this huge number that people think it is. I predict somewhere around 1.8-2.0. I wouldn't be surprised at all if it didn't break Oscar and Floyd's record. Boxing just isn't what it used to be in the eyes of the public. In fact, after Mayweather-Pacquiao happens (well if it does), boxing will take a huge hit because I'm sure both would retire afterwards. I remember a day when smaller names like Cory Spinks were even mentioned by casual fans.

When Yahoo Sports' Kevin Iole dropped those figures several days ago, most believed the figures were "too low." krikya360.com spoke with several industry figures in the last two days and almost all of them have said "Iole's figures are pretty accurate." Goes to show that Marquez played a much bigger role than people think in da mayweather fight since that one made 1 mil buys. Hes currently da best mexican fighter in boxing and as a mexican myself i can tell u that almost every mexican i know watched that fight regardless of the odds against him. We're just that passionate about our fighters. I also agree with cotto contributing a whole lot more than people give him credit for as well for the pac fight since i live in ny and know how passionate pricans are about their boxing as well. I guess mayweathers not that big a draw as he thinks he is after all (not trying to knock his and mosley's sells though since theyre pretty good)

I think now it's only fair that Pac asks for 55/45 or 60/40. If 2 non-Americans can sell more PPVs than 2 Americans, it says a lot. It says that the styles and the candidates are not marketable. People wanna see Pacman because it he puts on a show, and wins. All Mayweather does it try not to get hit, and win on points, which is something a lot of people are very tired of.

where did you get that fabricated figure from? There were 110,00 buys from PR, not 600,000

1st off dude, who truly gives a rat azz about PPV sales? Nothing going to change the reality that PBF is the top draw in boxing.
