I think Pac/Clottey numbers are more impressive than Mayweather/JMM...

Although Mayweather produced more PPV...about 1 mil, he only sold less than 20k seats...

Think about it... A PPV buy is only $50... where as going to an event cost much more, tickets, airplane ticket, hotel, food, drinks, etc...

If you average $1000 a person spent on going to the fight, the 30,000 more people that attended the Pac fight, OUTSPENT by far, the extra 300,000 people that bought the Mayweather fight....

In other words, more money was spent in total concerning the Pac/Clottey fight....

      baldomir was well known?

you're also quoting a mayweather fight, PRE-oscar dlh. no doubt the exposure mayweather AND pacquiao got from fighting oscar helped them get to where they are today, so since you're so keen on quoting mayweather's numbers BEFORE that fight, i suggest you post some of pacquiao's PRE-dlh numbers too.
DLH fighting a no named Sturm only had 350k buys..

Named 1 fighter Floyd fought who was unknown and no fanbase that did impressive numbers.?

We're talking about what Floyd can do now.

51k people and 700k buys was only for Pacquiao not Clottey..

PPV buys from Marquez were mostly 90% from Hispanic region..

If Floyd fights Clottey or any other unknown fighters that never headlined a PPV can break 700k buys or more, then I will be impress.

Mayweather vs Clottey would have done more. Haters love to pay Mayweather's bills.

There is a reason he "acts" the way he does OUTSIDE of the ring. He's a business man that puts on a show as a villain just like you would see in a movie.

His skills in the ring is what pisses everyone off at the end of the day. Its too bad that he's going to tell everyone of you that he just doubled Pacs numbers and making 2 to 3 times more money while fighting the #1 WW.

But hey Pac did the "right" thing right? lol People wont be so forgiving later this year if he ducks again to "run" to politics.......

The sad thing about that is Pacquaio is allowing Arum to dictate his career, so he may lose out on a $40 million payday for one fight because of Arum's hatred of Mayweather. I hope he comes to his senses and agrees to the fight. If he doesn't he will regret it 10 years from now.
That is truly sad for the Pacman. Another testament to Arum's ******ity is the idea of Pacman's future fight vs Margacheato. Arum is really a s.o.b. He is really taking advantage of Pac.

                link pls....

so you're insinuating 90% of the ppl who ordered the mayweather-marquez were fans of marquez?

                bull****.....but i'll entertain that for a minute.....where were those 90% for marquez's other 55 fights?

                makedamn sense.....

Sure I would but that doesn't mean that I think he is a good dude. I think Tim Bradley is a straight beast and a hell of a standup guy because he has a good personality, it has nothing to do with them motivating me. Floyd is a very talented boxer, I'd love to see him dogged out and humbled by another boxer though..........don't care who it is.
Ali had a big ass mouth and Duran did some foul sh-t to Sugar Ray and his wife when they fought but this isn't about personalities this is about boxing. Inside of the ring. Manny has a kid out of wedlock and has cheated on his wife but this isn't about their personalities this is about boxing.

Shane said it best. Floyd talks a lot of smack but he backs it up.
