Pac has the strap.
Pac is the top draw.
Pac/Cotto PPV is going to be better than Floyd's last outing.
Floyd should consider himself lucky if he gets 40%.
Its a good thing that you are not Pac's representative or he would die broke.

Pac I believe has reached the level of Mayweather in terms of PPV numbers. In fact I think people now will much rather watch Pac than Mayweather. Pac fights better fighters, and has much more interesting fights. His style is what your average fans want to see. I think once the PPV numbers are released it will prove this.
With that being said the fight should be 50/50 Split with the winner getting 60/40 if he can stop the other guy by KO. (Which I believe is what RJJ and BHop agreed to) Hopefully they can make it happen.

I criticized Cotto for not being a little bit assertive about calling out Floyd Mayweather, but I'm not going to give Pacquiao a total pass for it just because I like him a lot better than Cotto. When Brian Kenny asked him about Floyd, he did act like he knew the negotiation process of the fight would be a hassole. So he didn't really talk too much about it. But Mayweather in turn doesn't really talk about it either. I think really, it's gonna come down to how much Schaefer and Arum get along and agree with each other.

He let his fists do the talking against David Diaz and sold 150,000 PPV; against De La Hoya and Hatton and did 1.2 million and 825,000 respectively.
You may be delusional enough to think that what you do in the ring is all that matters, but no one else, especially the fighters, believe that. But you are right, Manny doesn't need Mayweather. He can fight Mosley or JMM in a rematch or Timothy Bradley. However, if he wants another payday of $10 million or more he has to fight Mayweather.

If Pac is more popular than Mayweather, then the Cotto fight should draw 1.5 million PPV. That would make up for the Cotto factor and prove Pac's popularity.
Pac doesn't fight better fighters. He simply fights more competitive fights because Mayweather is a far superior fighter. The JMM fight was no fluke and weight had nothing to do with the fact that JMM couldn't land a punch.Last edited by big_james10; 11-15-2009, 08:00 PM.

If people would rather see Pac than Mayweather, he would have drawn bigger numbers than Mayweather against Hatton and De La Hoya. Pac doesn't fight better fighters. 50/50 period! A hostage negotiation would be easier than working something out with Mayweather when it comes to Pac. Now that Pac won the way he did it will be even more difficult because Mayweather doesn't like risks. May/Pac 2011.
