Both fighters and their camps feel they are #1 thus which means they should have the advantage in negotiating, so it will take time since egos are involved. At the end of the day, the fight will be made and two great fighters will square off. At the end of the night, Floyd will be victorious and his detractors will find something else to piss and moan about.

Floyd's gonna take the fight because it's a fight that he should win. Cotto doesn't have the ability to fight/keep his wits about him going backwards, but that's Floyds specialty. I see him drawing Manny in for the first three to five rounds, and than running the Filipino into big shots, and ultimately that same check-hook he ruined Ricky Hatton with. Big props to Pac for that masterpiece last night, but the only welterweight in the world not named Paul Wiliams that beats Pac is Money May. Pac should wait for the SSM-Berto winner, but Arum and Roach won't be able to turn down the record pay-day. Tough fight, but Floyd will show the world that he's the best of this era. (...and this coming from a guy who doesn't much care for Mayweather, and really digs Manny Pacquiao).

i will be surprised if Floyd takes the fight. For some reason, mainly the asswhupping Cotto took, I feel Mayweather will back out of signing this fight and use money or Legacy as an excuse. PacMan has shown the world who the real P4P champ is and i wouldnt be surprised if Mayweather decided to take on Cotto or the winner of Mosley/Berto rather than risk getting KOed by the Filipino Phenom. Time will Tell if Mayweather has any balls left but my bet is that he doesnt

60/40 since Manny just beat ****ing Cotto. And boxingscene has little kids now calling Cotto crap but Cotto is a great fighter who just lost to even better fighter... Manny is just a freak of nature. But atleast Cotto put up a fight when he lost, he didn't go out like Ricky Hatton or Oscar. And theirs a good chance Cotto fought the best version of Pacquiao. Meaning Pacquiao may have gotten better and had great sparring Partners for this fight.

Some might dissagree with me but i think pacquiaos hardest opponent was JMM,a man who most say beat him twice,the same man who got outboxed by money may like a primary school kid..just because pacquiao comes in and sheds blood doesnt mean he should get the bigger purse.
