I can respect your disagreement. However, if Pac doesn't fight Mayweather next and chooses to fight Marquez or someone else, we can see who is right and see how much he gets for that fight. I would bet it won't be $10 million. If people would rather see Pac than Mayweather, he would have drawn bigger numbers than Mayweather against Hatton and De La Hoya. You can't use the Cotto fight as a true barometer of comparision because Cotto is capable of drawing several hundred thousand PPVs to his fights without Pac. Marquez was not.
If Pac is more popular than Mayweather, then the Cotto fight should draw 1.5 million PPV. That would make up for the Cotto factor and prove Pac's popularity.


Pac doesn't fight better fighters. He simply fights more competitive fights because Mayweather is a far superior fighter. The JMM fight was no fluke and weight had nothing to do with the fact that JMM couldn't land a punch.

That is true about Cotto bringing a major following. However I do think that Pacman has reached a level that he will attract masses like Mayweather. I mean he is being hailed as the best fighter of recent times.

I think JMM was too small honestly...I think the majority will agree that was a mismatch from the start.

Either way I hope they can get a deal going..it's not up to me what either should get.

Tired Of Pacquiao Catch Weights!

I give Manny a lot of credit, but If he wants to be on the same level as Duran, Leonard, and Mayweather, he has to start fighting bigger fighters at their natural weight. If he is so good, why does he keep asking these guys to weaken themselves first...Duran beat Leonard in their first fight, and didn't ask Ray to "lose" weight first, he just fought Ray and beat him. Same with Mayweather, he didin't ask Oscar to come down to a catch weight, or down to 147...but manny did...If Manny beats at "TOP" wealterweight at the wealterweight limit which is 147lbs, then he's the best wealterweight. Right now he's #5 at wealter...He wont beat Paul Williams, Mosley, Mayweather or Clotty at 147. I beat they wont take the Floyd fight unless it's at a catch weight. And if Floyd's camp says NO, all of the Pacman fans will say Floyd is afraid of Manny...what and see what happends.
