Prime Ortiz was when he signed with Matchroom and was never offered the AJ fight even though it was in house, just like how AJ ducked Hrgovic when he was with Matchroom also.

Ortiz as a step in for Miller on short notice and getting lowballed by Eddie is disrespectful to someone who knows the worth of what they were fighting for.

Eddie went with Ruiz as a cheap cherry pick and it all turned to shït after that. Don't ya just love Karma ?

And now AJ is past his use by date Eddie is calling out names like AJ wants the smoke. If ya ask me it's cos Turki pulled his card and said Joshua needs to get a credible win before the getting on the gravy train again.

Even thats karmic considering AJ ducked Wilder unless he went through Whyte first and then again unless he went through Parker, hoping it would add to the wear and tear on Windmill before Joshua grew a big enough pair to face him.

Obviously Parkers resume is far superior. Ortiz never did much.

BUT, I do think the Ortiz of like 10 years ago would have given any version of Parker a tough fight.

Ortiz. For his classic with Malik Scott alone. What a fight. Malik left it all in the ring that night. Nash out - His Majesty

This is pretty funny, Parker beat Wilder and Ortiz lost to Wilder so that must mean Parker is bette? Lets not mention the fact that old Ortiz lost to a "prime" Wilder while Parker beat a faded, shot almost 40 year old Wilder. Also Parker beat a 41 year old Zhang. You know the same Zhang who got a lucky win years ago over Jerry Forrest for crying out loud. Zhang isn't anything special. Him beat no talent slow Joe Joyce, the same Joe Joyce who just lost to a 41 year old Derek Chisora doesn't make Zhang special. What else has Zhang done with his career? Also beat shot Wilder at overrated Tyson Fury knocked him out twice.

Neither Parker or Ortiz are anything special but I would say a younger Ortiz was better than Parker

Ortiz had 2 opportunities to fight AJ and he swerved both of them. Or rather, his team swerved them for him.

First swerve came when he was the mandatory challenger for AJ's WBA title and next in line for his shot. Instead of taking it, he inexplicably left Matchroom and signed to fight Wilder instead of AJ, then failed a PED test and lost his mandatory position.

Second swerve came when AJ was looking for a new opponent after Big Pharma Miller got popped the first time. Ortiz went on social media saying he was ready and willing to replace Miller. Hearn offered him the shot for a career high purse of $7million, which was $2million more than Miller would have got. Ortiz's manager turned the offer down.
