haney was pretty well damaged by that fight possibly, its not like 2 little pitty patters smacking each other, haney took some serious leather from a guy who was busted with stuff haney never agreed to sign up to, in fact haney was very much pointing out in the run up that he insisted on vada testing for the fight as was the correct thing to do

people will always say well the substance he got busted for was no help or the quan****** were no help, well if thats the case then just allow all this stuff if none of it is every of any help
Above is a logical post reflecting the real world we live in, I wish posters would get of the macho and hate trips and open there eyes to the real world and how it moves and changes with the times. I can pretty much say the legal system will not look at Peds, loss of earnings, damage etc the same way a teenager being a fan of a fighter or hating on another will look at it. Once the precedent has been made in a court case, the consequences of Peds in professional Sport will change, and the lid will blow right off as soon as a positive test results in the death of an opponent.

I would imagine that if it does go to trial, the witnesses called to testify will be the likes of promoters, managers, past and current fighters, trainers, doctors and those that are qualified to know how quick and powerful Ryan's left hook was or was not prior to him fighting Haney.

Did Ryan suddenly develop speed and power in his left hook that he didn't have for other fights?? Was Ryan not Knocking out past rivals with his left hook? Was Devin never susceptible to left hooks, was Devin known as having an iron chin that only cracked when fighting Ryan??? I'm certain that experts in the boxing industry will analyze videos of the fight and testify to watching Ryan's left hook pummel Devin. Did Ryan's left hook land because Devin kept his right hand low or did Ryan's left hook penetrate a high guard??

Munguia just got Knocked the F-uck out by a perfect right cross by a fighter who isn't known as a knock out artist because his left hand was too low. It's pretty evident that if a fighter doesn't keep his hands up and he's fighting a fast and hard hitting fighter, he's more than likely gonna get knocked out.

I'm not a fan of Ryan per say and think he's a piece of crap for the garbage that comes out of his mouth. I also think he ingested Osterine purposely for weight loss reasons, not to gain super human strength, but because he tested positive he allowed Haney to blame his beating on Osterine and not his lousy defense and terrible fight plan.

It's gonna be difficult for Haney to prove that his monetary worth took a big hit because of Osterine when a fighter like Manny who was Knocked out a few times and put to sleep for almost 10 minutes didn't suffer monetary losses. Shoot Manny made his biggest purse after he was put to sleep.

I honestly think the rematch will not happen due to the law suit no matter what is decided by the courts....

The very next puncher they put Devin in the ring with is going to lay him spark out.

Racist Ryan's time is limited, too.

They both can kick rocks barefoot.

Ryan had a positive Ped test, the Haney team could easily say everything you said was because of Peds, how can they prove it wasn't, he had never dominated that level of fighter in this manner before and Haney has never lost like that before, its not us that needs convincing, its the judge and he probably don't hang around boxing forums.

Nobody is saying Ryan should get the title. He missed weight, so he is ineligible to win the title. But Haney definitely LOST the title so it should be vacant and 2 other guys should fight for it......

That's the purpose of calling experts to the stand and showing video footage of what Ryan was capable of before his fight with Haney. Haney finished the fight on his feet while Ryan was on Osterine. Most of Ryan's opponents didn't finish the fight on their feet when they faced Ryan, thus proving that Ryan indeed had speed and power with the same left hook. Seems that Haney took that left hook better than Ryan's other victims, he just took more of a beating because he lasted the 12 rounds. If ostarine was suppose to give Ryan the power to knock Devin out, it didn't work.

He's known for that left hook, that's pretty much his only punch. The fight fans knew it, the Haney's knew it, shoot, that's why they're training hard for that left hook now, it's an admission that Devin has problems with fast left hooks. Why are they working so diligently on the left hook if it was the Osterine that caused the beating???

The Judge or Jury will listen and review the testimony of all the expert witnesses as well as footage used as evidence to prove that Devin's lack of defense caused his beating not the ostarine. Ryan's attorney might call Oscar to the stand and ask him about his fight with Vargas and how the steroids affected his fight. If the law suit goes to trial, both Haney and Ryan are gonna spend a pretty penny on expert witnesses.

It's gonna be a long trial and will cost all parties lots of money to prove their cases... I think Haney has a better chance at winning his case against Oscar than he does against Ryan and I don't see how Devin can fight before settling his law suit because a victory or defeat will affect the case in my opinion...

Well he was able to keep the title, but lost it when he didn't want to defend it against Martin. Arum won the purse bid for something like $2.5 million but Devin didn't think the money was enough to defend it so the WBC stripped him of the tittle...

The first question that will be asked, and incidentally the judge will already have the answer programed into his head, as will everyone else involved, will be, do Peds enhance performance?

And right there the rest is rather easy to break down he did this because of that, that positive test is the Elephant in the room its going to be very hard to get over that, like saying I was over the limit when I ran the guy over but it wasn't because I was intoxicated, it was a low reading ask my witnesses they all say Im a good driver, I don't think its going to fly, time will tell.

That's not how it works though! By law the judge has to disregard his or her personal opinion on how he or she may view the legalities of the case. Upon expert testimony he or she will learn if all Peds have the same results? Did the the ostarine that was found in Ryan's system cause the damage that Devin is suing for? If I'm not mistaken, Devin is suing for multi millions, I believe over $50 million, but I might be mistaken.. The judge is gonna need expert testimony to figure out if indeed the Ped and the amount found in Ryan's system caused Haney to lose the millions he is claiming he lost and if indeed the Ped and the amount truly did cause the beating he took.

The expert testimony of the witnesses will determine the ruling, not what the Judge thinks he/she knows or doesn't know, personal view cannot and will not matter. Now, there is no question that Ryan tested positive and was suspended by the NYSAC, but Ryan was suspended for not reporting the supplements he took. He never admitted to purposely taking Ostarine and that will weigh in on the battery charge..

he cant say battery for the overweight part because he AGREED to continue with the fight after he knew Ryan missed weight, he even collected the fees for it.

Ryan will just claim he accidentally took PEDs. so the burdon of proof would have to be from Haney to prove that Ryan KNOWINGLY took Peds.
Dude... Exactly! Way too much to prove. Even in a civil court proceeding way too much. How do we establish the damage due to the steroid use? How do we establish what was expressively granted Ryan when Devin agreed to the fight after the contract, the initial contract, had been changed?

How does one establish any sort of compensation? How do you separate what happened from the steroids versus what happened from the activity itself?

And... Ryan already paid a fine. So in a sense you might have a case of double jeopardy. There is no way this thing goes anywhere. I'm saying that here I know I will not be eating any crow.
