It's amazing, Robeisy was the betting favorite. I got to dig to several website to confirm that was true because I was 100% certain that Espinoza was going to win and probably by KO.

I fact, I wrote here that I didn't believe, Robeisy will be able to handle the punches as well as in the 1st fight.

We need to admit that Espinoza is a machine, he is the closest thing to the Terminator.

He wasn’t even exactly in cruise control
Ramirez wasn’t doing bad
Actually much better than the first fight

I never said he was overconfident, I was one that said even though nobody knew who espinoza was, he was no joke and he proved, twice, congratulations to el divino. Now you have to agree this was anticlimactic.

Well, unfortunately I guess his career is over for Robeisy. I'm not saying a few losses kills a career or anything, but the WAY he lost was just...too damaging to his image as a boxer. Maybe not retire, but he isn't getting a shot at a title any time soon.

And I really thought I'd see a great fight with Inoue too in a few years.

No excuses. In the history of this sport, countless men (and even women) have fought through all kinds of damage. Frazier was damn near blind in one eye; Marciano had his nose split and came back to beat his man. Seeing double sucks, but it be that way sometimes. Ramirez was much better off going out on his shield. This was his “no más” moment, and I’m disgusted.

What? No call out to Israil Vazquez? Naoya Inoue also had double vision when Donaire broke his orbital in the 9th round, which is still noticeable today despite that he has recovered.

Think Ramirez had the right gameplan, but the tides were turning considering it was a matter of time that Robeisy would get winded trying to move through the whole ring per round and that Espinoza subtle work was taking effect while he made adjustments.

I’m not in full agreement with Ramirez calling it a night but his health is just that—his. I’m only saying this because we just lost the great Israel Vasquez this past week and from what I understand, his family didn’t have the money to cover his medical costs. He had cancer, of course, but his vision has been horrible for years after several wars and eye injuries in fights.

Again, I don’t fully agree with Ramirez nor should ESPn sit there and compare him to others fighters that “stuck it out” during fights while injured like that. I see if Ramirez was getting embarrassed in there tonight but that clearly wasn’t the case.

Oh well, I guess we have to see what’s next for him.

I expect a similar fight to the first.

Navarrete doesn't have a win on his record since the first fight, but not sure if you can read too much into that. Coming back down a weight class can be difficult sometimes though.

All that aside, I just think Navarrete is fresher and it'll look similar to the first.
