Boots had no problem getting fights until he signed with Eddy. Now he's too good. He has to get the lions share. We know where this is heading. We might as well forget about him. He'll show up on a card in TJ in a couple of years.

I would like to see Ennis challenge himself more but his team are hanging around at 147 to see if they can unify; likely Eddie Hearn promised him a unification belt when he signed with him. If he is still inactive and not unifying by next summer I'll re-assess.

Ennis is 30 now and doesn’t have one decent name on his resume and his title is of the email variety. Crawford ain’t that great either if you check out the facts. Look at who he fought his belts for it’s kind of pathetic lol. He never defended any belts at any weight. 135/140 crawford somehow missed DSG mikey garcia Josh Taylor even Regis would’ve been a good fight at the time. But is universally praised for “unifying” against all world talents like Julio ondongo and rocky burnes lol. You mentioned Joe horn? He was a fraud he stole his title on a home robbery. But this about booty ennis. At least Joe horn and Crawford actually beat someone for that title ennis just getting his through default lol. Sad af. I personally rate Ortiz jr very very highly but that’s just my preference. Ortiz does get hit a bit and has been down but he always comes back I love that Tito Trinidad was my favourite and Ortiz jr has shades of him in his game
Ortiz Jr does not have a decent name on his resume. He left 147 to go fight a guy Boots KO’d over four years ago. That was Dulorme. Please tell me you are aware that Boots DESTROYED Dulorme over 4 years ago. How can you justify such a meaningless fight especially since you believe Boots to be trash.
As for Bud, I was just giving you an example of how boxing works. I don’t disagree that his resume at 147 was sub-par.
I wish Boota could move up to 154. He will destroy Ortiz.

But alphabet soup with all the champions make it very easy for guys to just avoid each other that I do think is an issue lol. At any rate if he moves up he'll probably be a good thing and I definitely agree with your post.Oregonian likes this.

Ortiz is far more willing to fight anyone than ennis. Ennis was the mandatory for Crawford at 147 and literally dropped that position to become the WBC #1 contender knowing Spence wouldn’t fight again at 147 essentially ducking Crawford. Now boots pretends to call out Terence while he fights on matchroom cards and won’t even pay Brian Norman to fight. Proof is always in the pudding if he had fought anyone good he would’ve. Anyone who thinks he’s better or any different than Andrade DKSAB.
Boots is 29. If he does not unify the 147 by end of 2025, I’ll start looking at him as the next Andrade.
That said, you did not respond to what I asked about Ortiz fighting Diloume - a guy Boots destroyed 4 years ago.

They both have weak resumes but the Mean Machine and Bohachuk that Ortiz fought is better than anyone on Boots resume and the fact that Ortiz lined up Stanionis, Tsyzu and Bohachuk tells me a lot about his psyche even if some of those fights fell through. Boots looks to be the better skilled but Ortiz's grit is nothing to play with. Boots likes to use his physicality and that is not going to work against Ortiz. It is a pick em fight. Turki said he 'll try to make that fight in Feb and Ortiz seem to be onboard but I have yet to hear Boots speak about his interest in that fight. Let's hope it happens.
All I can say is I hope they do fight.
