Jesus. Yeah Foster won but at this point how many of these boring technical fights are we gonna see. When the fight is so awful that you don't care about the robbery it is pathetic.
Then we've got Shakur beating up a B level guy and still too timid to go for the stoppage.
Boxing is getting to the point of most guys just fighting to not get hit at all costs, rather than trying to hurt the opponent. No one wants to watch Olympic boxing. The sport is just turning into 90% trash.

I did not watch the same fight as the commentators. I thought they were highly biased and saying Robson wasn't landing anything, but he was hitting arms and body all night long and pressing the action. It was a terrible fight and Foster has only himself to blame for this loss. Yes, Robson is very limited and one dimensional but Foster was not doing much at all. Constantly back pedaling is not going to catch the judges attention. In a terrible fight like this, two judges simply rewarded the guy who was pressing the action and the third one had it much closer than the commentators. Foster cannot expect to keep winning close fights and being the champion by fighting the way he did in his last two fights. He did not dominate anything.

This is absolutely worthy of an investigation. I don't give a crap how "boring" Foster appeared. He won damn near every rd. and to be robbed of a victory is a black eye on boxing yet again. There has to be some accountability with the judging system in boxing or MORE disgusting decisions like this will continue to occur. Let's see if crooked Suliaman addresses this WBC robbery.Last edited by Boxing God; 07-06-2024, 11:40 PM.The Big Dunn likes this.

Man I ended up nodding off about rd 5 or 6 with Foster basically shutting Conceicao out in my mind only to wake up just before the Shakur fight to see Conceicao had won??!? I figured he must've knocked Foster out or something but when I looked up the highlights and saw he didn't all I could do was SMH...very sad what boxing has become
Even If that was the case that they were going to rob Foster to do it with a 35 year old on his last hurrah clearly on the way out the sport makes it even more puzzling...Boxing God likes this.

The latin commentators on ESPN had Conceicao ahead 116-112. They favoured his aggression from round 4 through 12. Foster waiting too much, not throwing enough. An other perspective I guess, and a valid one.

Whenever a boxer gets robbed/hard done by in a high profile fight (R.C against ped failure Oscar and overweight Shakur) then for some reason, at some point, the 'system' tries to make amends. and compensate in favour for that fighter - but in so doing, they often rob a third fighter - O'Shaquie is the guy getting fuqqed here
happened before but to a lesser extent with Ryder - got hard done by against Callum Smith then got a gift against Jacobs
